Haliburton for sure. Probably Hayes & Deni. Tyrell Terry. & Hayes.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

For the stat folks with access Arturo has posed his spreadsheet.

https:// twitter.com/ AmericanNumbers/status/1326348145157169155

His model really likes Wiseman, Haliburton, & Vassell. Tyrell Terry is highly ranked there too. It likes OO, but not nearly as much as some other guys.

Strong negatives to Edwards, Obi, Deni, Saddiq Bey, and Hayes.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

This draft is weak at the top, but I'm not convinced starting at the end of the lotto that it's all that different from a typical crazy. There are a ton of solid PG prospects, I fully expect us to draft a PG.

Yeah, the depth at the PG position from the mid 1st to early 2nd is fantastic in this draft. I don't think we'll be able to trade up for Terry, Maxey, or Hampton. But If we can trade up into the mid to late 1st to snag someone like Maledon that would be a huge win (we're due to hit on a French player, like for real).

Tyrell Terry and Kira Lewis are probably my favorite of the mid to late 1st PG prospects.

Maledon plays no defense and his game did not develop really well last year (did not improve or did not fix most of his weaknesses). There was a lot of hype, but he has slided from the lottery to the end of the 1st round (even 2nd round) for obvious reasons. I dont want to see Maledon in a Hornet's uniform (unofrtunately, it could happen since Parker is the owner of Asvel which is the french team that has Maledon under contract).

Plenty of french promising younsgters from Wembanyama (obviously, i ve already talked about him in old posts i guess he is starting to get some hype here), to Diakite passing by Begarin (dont like him but his skillset and physical match the nba), Ayayi (special year for him with the Zags, especially with the Suggs-Ballo potential connexion) or Diabate (Michigan). Batcho being unknown by most but he is my favorite (he's in Arizona but unfortunetaly sidelined till january) with Dieng (stil dont know if he joined Duke)
I could add some more, even though the covid pandemic has stoped the international games every summer.

If i had to pick international and ncaa talent to build some comeptitive Hornet team in 3/4 years, i'd pick Cunningham, Hardy, Wembanyama and if they develop accordingly, Dieng and Ballo. Maybe Garuba (but his size would be a problem here imo). Batcho being the biggest "?" since when he is fit, he is probably the frnech prospect who plays the best on both end of the court. The problem being that he is injury prone.

if there were better players at the back, then they'd be near the front since the 'best' guys are so weak. this draft is buns

Interesting measurements in this article. Top players who have not been reported like Edwards and Wiseman. I feel like these are more likely to be true since guys have gone in for team workouts. Other numbers were sort of approximations.

Wiseman 7'0.5 and 7'4 wingspan
Edwards 6'3 and 6'10 wingspan
Hayes 6'5 and a 6'8 wingspan

Edit: Terry 6'3 6'1.75' wingspan

Let's say we do end up going with a guard at #3.

Who are the rim running/rim protecting 5's around our second pick (#32) that could be a good target?

Jalen Smith (doubt he drops, but he would be awesome).
Daniel Oturu?
Udoka Azubuike?
Nick Richards?

Vernon Carey and Zeke Nnaji might be good, but they aren't really rim protectors with Carey more a post player and Nnaji a pick and pop 5.

Xavier Tillman
best passer/playmaker among big men in the draft
can captain your defense
led the nation in Box Plus/Minus and DefensiveBox Plus/Minus
and came in top ten 3 pt shooting at combine

I'm a fan.

As othets have said, I too like Tillman.

Azubuike gets a lot of attention, but the dude isn't good at all. He padded stats against some terrible competition, but always faded out against any real competition.

I didn't watch much of him so don't have a strong opinion but looking through his stats that's not the case. His numbers stay pretty consistent. Seems to be tall, long, and knows his role. No way he can switch but seems like he could carve out a role as a 3rd/4th big at his floor with his size.

Edwards has the exact same measurements as Donovan Mitchell. I'm 95% certain Minnesota is going to take him. He's a perfect fit for their team beside KAT and D'Angelo. Would be arguably best offensive big 3 in the league. Ball would be the darkhorse guy, but not sure if KAT would like a project PG, even if he is an assist master.

OO, oof.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

OO, oof.

Comparing Toppin to Middleton physically seems ridiculous.
