Apparently Kemba won the Sportsmanship award.

So Kemba actually has a ton of respect around the league then? That's good news.

I am so proud of Kemba. The past few days have been great to be a Charlotte Hornets fan.

it was a minor procedure and he was only supposed to be down 4-6 weeks iirc. I assume he's fine now

Kemba is criminally under discussed on here.

Thesis: Kemba is the greatest Hornet of all time.

Discuss.

Id go with Dell just from a longevity standpoint.

If we're strictly talking the best player to suit up for the Hornets I'd have to go with Alonzo Mourning. That said if Kemba maintains his current level and wins a few playoff series for us I'd argue for him as the best Hornet of all-time (just not the best player to wear the jersey).

Honestly, I don’t have Dell in the conversation. He’s got points because of the years, but he only played one side of the ball and was not even a ball handler. Plus at no point was he ever the best player on the team.

For longevity, productivity and peak I’d go Kemba then Crash.

If you just go by peak seasons you add guys like LJ, Zo, Baron, Rice and Mash.

It's a legitimate position.

IMO, the greatest Hornet peaks ever are:

1. Rice (96-97)
2. Zo (94-95)
3. LJ (92-93)
4. Kemba (16-17)
5. Baron (01-02)

No one on that list was great as a Hornet for more than about three years. Kemba had his ups and downs early in his career, but the last two seasons he has been undeniably all-star caliber, at least in my view. If he has a comparable season this year I think he's in the discussion for longevity alone. If he finishes out his current contract playing this way he'll be number one with a bullet.

That Glen Rice season was just flat out crazy.

But yes I'd say Kemba is now the greatest Hornet/Bobcat. He's solidly in the argument at the very least.

Also, I made a thread on the GB to alert others that Kemba has been the runaway best PG in the East so far, go take a minute to vote for him to get the word out on his All-star and All-NBA campaign... they are so delusional that they think John Wall has been better so far... the GB is down right ridiculous sometimes... they even have a thread where some people are proclaiming jaylen brown and jayson tatum as better than simmons/embiid...

They said Wall is the better PG, with most clarifying that it's too early to tell this season.

Kemba is currently a top 8 NBA player according to TPA.

It's still early, but Kemba's gotten better every year...

Definitely looking like another all-star season.

Lowe asked Windhorst about his favorite player to watch in the East -- sans the superstars in LeBron, Giannis, etc. -- and then excitedly told his own answer. The moment he was gearing it up, I knew it would be about Kemba Walker.

Some love for his skill of tricking fools into screens at about the 1-hour 5-minute mark:
