Zeller has been impressive so far. Biyombo is not showing the kind of development we are hoping for in his third season.

Re: 2013 general summer league thread
I wonder what happened to McLemore being this automatic assassin from 3-point range in the NBA. He's shooting 9% from beyond the arc so far. At least he's currently 0-3 from there tonight to pile on that percentage.
Update: McLemore finished the game 1-7 from 3-point range. He's currently 2-18 and shooting 11% from there thru 2 games in summer league.

I watched the highlights just now. That 1 from 7 included two horribly short air balls from three. Thats a pretty cold start.

Since I turned out to be wrong about him I am glad we didn't pick him. Two years in a row. Huh! So much for my dreams of becoming an nba scout!

Re: 2013 general summer league thread
i think its sad that 4 of the top 7 draft picks from 2012 arent playing in summer league - davis, beal, barnes and lillard.

Are they all a part of Team USA Mini-Camp? or no? If so, that may very well be the reason why, to preserve their bodies

Re: 2013 general summer league thread
yeah, i think they are all part of that camp. but wouldnt it be good to get a game or two in summer league to get juices going? and isnt building some chemistry with new teammates important?

I agree. I find it somewhat selfish of them, but I also understand how they would individually find playing for Team USA more important

There's a very slim chance that he'll continue to shoot that poorly through the actual season, but I think it's safe to say that he's no Ray Allen

Beal is injured (surprise, surprise), and I guess Lillard and Davis don't really have anything to prove. But then again, didn't Kyrie play last year? Barnes absolutely should be playing though.

Re: 2013 general summer league thread
I think kemba taught Cory Higgins a move or two. I saw Higgins playing for the Cavs SL team and he did the double-team split move that Kemba does a lot to perfection. Only problem is he pretty much gave it away the second he got to the rim,
investigate Adam Silver

Dare I say, that Cory Higgins had looked solid for the Cavs SL team in the game I seen. I forgot to mention it here

Re: 2013 general summer league thread
Reggie Bullock has been impressive in SL with LAC. It'll be interesting to see if he could find regular rotation minutes in his rookie season with a win-now mode Clippers team under Doc Rivers if he continues to play this well. I doubt it though

Getting drafted at 7 by the Kings, at least we know he'll never get better. No team in the NBA is player developmentally challenged like the Sacramento Kings. Mark my words, Tyreke Evans will win sixth-man of the year, and while thats unfair, because he should be a starter in this league, I believe he is going to get worlds better. Taking that kind of pressure off a guy like Reke is only going to help him fluorish
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

yeah, I think he definitely has the talent, but it will probably depend more on Eric Gordons ability to stay healthy and not force Evans into starting for half the year.

It still seems hard for me to believe that the Pelicans can maintain that much money tied up in guards. Holiday, Gordon and Evans combined would make $37 Mil, and with the cap set at $58Mil this year, I would almost have to assume the Pelicans try to move Gordon

Over or under: McLemore shoots 30% from the 3-point line in tonight's contest?
