Defensive PF who can shoot some from the wings. I think he would fit well next to Al.

Probably alot. Bucks are very high on him.

I was looking back on the Cavs trade for Deng and they gave up the right to swap 1st's with the Bulls in 2015 with top 12 protection. The Cavs are at 9, have the first overall pick and can maybe move up 4 notches and still be in the lottery next year for the Bulls. The Cavs also gave the Bulls a top 10 protected Kings pick. The Kings are slotted 8 right now and have aspirations for Kevin Love - not that they will get him but their ownership clearly is highly motivated to do whatever it takes to improve drastically.

So while the Bulls have Rose (obviously needs to stay healthy) + Butler + Noah + Gibson as their core, they will add picks 16 + 19 in the 2014 draft and next year possibly be picking 13/14 (swap with Cavs) + 11/12 (Kings pick).

The Bulls will be a force in the EC imo. If Rose were to stay healthy and if they can sign Stephenson or Carmelo Anthony, wow.

Don't forget they'll add Nikola Mirotic at some point.

Chicago is loaded with assets for the future. But ultimately it comes down to Rose. If he can't stay healthy it will all be for nothing.

Really...?

Shroeder did not prove anything this season.. No way I'd let the #9 go for that. I think we are at a point where we need accuracy and insurance. Moreover, I don't see the point in getting another 2nd round pick...

Id's rather take the #9 for Aaron Afflalo + #12

and go for Mo Williams Or Sessions in the FA or Collison (who apparently will test the FA this offseason)

ok, new love trade that ends with rubio in memphis to play with the gasol bros.

i havent checked salaries, but here is the meat of the deal

okc trades: westbrook, perkins and lamb
okc receives: love and conley

minn trades: love and rubio
minn receives: westbrook and perkins

mem trades: conley
mem receives: rubio and lamb (to pair with both gasol brothers)

who says no?

Memphis says no. Rubio is a major downgrade from Conley, and Lamb isn't anything special either. Minnesota and OKC would both love that deal.

half this board thinks lamb is amazing. plus rubio would have more value playing with pao and marc, two guys he already has great chemistry with.

but maybe either the wolves or thunder add another piece for memphis.

Strong possibility Durant would murder Sam Presti and then if he gets away with it, he will then bolt and leave OKC immediately.

I'm not saying it isn't a good trade for OKC, I am just saying Durant would go bonkers after trading his two best friends and his biggest mentor away within two years of each other.

He might go bonkers, but that is an absolutely brilliant trade for OKC.

Minnesota says no, easily. It would be like Minny the Marbury years except without a prime KG.

Come on now. We both know Lamb is the second coming of Jordan. No way OKC gives such a great player up.

I would be ecstatic if Cho could peddle #24 & Henderson to OKC for Lamb

I know OKC would bite on Hendo + MKG for Lamb and 24th pick with a future 1st round pick maybe in 2 years, which would give OKC a better lineup to win a championship..
Starting Lineup with
Reggie Jackson
Russell Westbrook
MKG
Durant
Ibaka
off the bench with Hendo, Thebo... mixing Russell at one and Hendo mayeb into starting lineup and when the matchup come to play Miami Hendo sticking D-Wade, MKG on Lebron allowing Westbrook and Durant to be focus all on offense instead of defense..

I wouldn't dare trade MKG + Hendo for Lamb + #21 pick, as I'm assuming that you're insinuating. Sure it would bode well for the Thunder, but not as much for the Hornets if you ask me

So we would start Hairston, Taylor, and McRoberts? And we'd lose MKG? That sounds like we are going backwards.

We replace hendo with Hairston, or Zach Levine... we replace MKG with Jeff Taylor, or Melvin Ejim which is better then MKG at this point right now, and play great defense, this is just draft coming out the draft with a lineup like this would be great, then be able to have the cap space to sign, in free agency or sign and trade deal that could possibly land you Star. But no way its a going back with kemba able to lead a corps of sharp shooters in zach lavine, luke ridnour, P.J. Hairston, Jeremy Lamb, Gary Neal, Jeff Taylor, Chris Douglas Roberts, Melvin Ejim which can hit threes, will give Al jefferson space, Cody Zeller, will thrive more, and Clint Caples will thrive with a run and gun system where he's being use like DeAndre Jordan and protecting the rim lik Anthony Davis... no this a 10+ game winning team from this year record... and with a future 1st round pick which the next year draft class is deep also...

The proposed deal is not as bad when you consider Charlotte frees up 9 million/yr to spend on a player. The Hornets' total haul is:

9 m/yr player
Jeremy Lamb
Pick 21

Is MKG worth more than Jeremy Lamb + 9 million/yr player(s) + 3 draft slots?

It's never going to happen but if OKC does a shakeup I think it won't involve their 3 key guys. I think if they make any roster changes in addition to coaching changes, then Jeremy Lamb is most likely to be dealt. Jeremy Lamb is taking a long time to groom and they can't safely trust him for big minutes in a playoff series. They really need a veteran SG so maybe Henderson or Neal interests them. I'd like to package Neal or Henderson with pick 24 to move up to 21.

It will make Cho look like a genuis again, which he can get this done, didn't he work for OKC also? and 9 mil free up and 2015 Carmelo is a free agent, Lebron, big names and who wou;dn't want to come to a team shape up like this:

PG: Kemba, Zach Lavine, Luke Ridnour
SG: P.J. Hairston, Gary Neal, Jeremey Lamb
SF: Jeff Taylor, Chris Douglas Roberts Melvin Ejim
PF: Josh McRoberts, Cody Zeller, Clint Capela
C Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo, Brendan Haywood

Return to Charlotte Hornets
