We have a better chance of winning a championship this year than Jordan suiting up. Grantland must be desperate for Youtube views.

Just picture Jordan suiting up though...GOAT proving he can hold his own in today's league at 50 and keep people hush, also great for the bobcats...would also make him our best ever player, laughing stock no longer? I think so!

I know it's a joke and all, but let's be serious- 50-year-old Jordan would be better than Ben Gordon.

in all seriousness, it would be cool of the league granted MJ a one game exemption allowing him to play in one pre-season game as a bobcat. i cant see the harm in that. epsn can pick up the game and the league would make a killing.

him selling the team to suit up for a regular season game in april when we are 10 games out of the playoffs would make us look like the minor league franchise that everyone thinks we are.

if he really wants to play in a regular season game, he should sell the team and play for the bulls. that would be much less ridiculous.

Michael Jordan: Tanking not in cards

As frustrated as Michael Jordan has been over the Charlotte Bobcats' lack of success, he said tanking games to get a high pick in next year's NBA draft isn't the way to fix a rebuilding franchise.

The Bobcats owner scoffed at the idea Friday, telling The Associated Press, "I don't know if some teams have thought of that. That's not something that we would do. I don't believe in that."

He then laughed heartily and said, "If that was my intention I never would have paid (free agent) Al Jefferson $13 million a year."

.....

While the 2014 NBA draft offers hopes to fledgling teams with talented players like Andrew Wiggins at Kansas and Duke's Jabari Parker, Jordan made it clear he isn't thinking about losing.

"It's not guaranteed (the player) you are going to get is going to be that star anyway," Jordan said. "I did read that certain teams are thinking about doing it. But I'm not one of them. So let's alleviate that conversation."

This just proves that signing Al Jeff was a loss of patience in the rebuilding process. MJ's tragic flaw is hubris.

This is all a giant smokescreen.

We're actually going to win 11 games all season, worst in the league and still land the #4 pick.

We are still rebuilding. Were just more competitive, thankfully.

But you hire your a gm and president because they are suppose to know ahead of time. Let them make the decisions and fire them if they got it wrong. This franchise will be forever bad until mj changes his thinking.

The comments regarding tanking got us on PTI earlier. One of them gave three reasons why tanking won't guarantee you a good player; they said, "Kwame Brown, Adam Morrison, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist."

Ouch.

This argument against MJ is a myth.

Jordan was not a good GM at all but as an owner he has been great.

Bob Johnson was a terrible owner who hamstrung this franchise as much as the rules of expansion.

Jordan cannot be blamed for the moves made when was a minority owner, do people think MJ rings Nelly for advice?

The best move the Bobcats ever made before blowing up and rebuilding was hire Larry Brown and without Jordan's influence that would not have been possible.

Of course it was arguably the worst decision we ever made also

Since Jordan has been majority owner we have made the right decisions imo.

Trust me I have no problem with mj as an owner. I have a problem with him saying Monday morning QB. The gm is suppose to know before hand who is good. This is his job. You and I do our jobs wrong we get fired. If gilcrist, bismack and zeller don't turn out good the gm and president should be fire, It should not be a Monday morning QB thing.

I dont think you can blame MJ for drafting a lot of those players, most of them was drafted around where the "experts" thought they would be

Gerald drafted 12th all the good players already had been drafted, best players left Ty Lawson and Jrue Holiday would probably have been better picks but we have Kemba now so dont really care. (Gerald mocked as #11 pick)

Augustin drafted 9th, a LOT of good players left including Batum,Lopez and Ibaka ( a lot of late 1st steals in this draft) (he was mocked as 12th pick)

Adam Morrison 3rd, bad draft all around only a few 1st round picks are still playing well LaMarcus,Redick, Rondo,Sefolosha and Gay a LOT of busts this draft (mocked to go 3rd)
