Free agency starts at 6:00 ET today. Last year was kind of quiet, this year I expect to see some fireworks, especially with guys like Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry, and Chris Paul out there. Leonard is such a mercenary, though.

Fan opinion is really mixed on Whiteside. I always thought he was a strong defensive player, and a great rebounder, but he seems not to be a great team player or locker room guy. On the other hand, he hails from near Charlotte.

But we just traded for Plumlee. What needs would he fill? It was last season we needed Whiteside.

I like Devonte but I can never justify paying him $20m per, my God. Duncan would be a tough pill to swallow at that number too since he’s also pretty one dimensional. The other two offer much more and allocating that % of cap towards them wouldn’t be a net negative at least.

I'd say

Holmes, he has the most potential of the bunch to be an all-star.
Lonzo, he is probably the best one of the bunch but has injury issues.
Duncan, elite 3pt shooters are always valuable.
Graham, he is a backup PG who shoots below 40%.

Holmes and Lonzo would both be future potential based deals.
Duncan would be an overpay, but has an elite marquee skill.
Graham would instantly be a bad contract
