WTH how is that possible when we're also #1 grabbing o-boards? So we're Superman on one end and Clark Kent on the other?

It means we are overcommitting on the O boards and not getting back in good position to box out on the defensive boards. Oh and we are undersized.

our offense is yolo kelly oubre. if you touch it behind the 3pt line, you are free to let it fly.

Clicked through the GT game thread last night and got so much satisfaction seeing the unaware teeth gnashing by Celtics fans at Tatum getting a mean whistle.

To be honest, Lee has been pretty underwhelming. The best thing he has done is start calling timeout between free throws because that seems to be taking guys out of rhythm and forcing misses.

Offense looks pretty bad IMO, everything runs from the same spot on the floor at the top of the key. Way too dependent on Melo being a hero too often and we over rely on the 3 pt shot. It is early but it feels like we haven't done a good job of getting Miller going and really even Miles until last night. Would be nice to get more split action going where we get Miller coming off pindowns for midrange shots and get Miles some isolated touches in weakside midpost where he can go 1vs1.

Also, not a fan of these 11 or 12 man rotations he is running. The rotation especially with LaMelo seems so random with him coming in and out of the game in 3 min spurts sometimes.

Overall I like our 3pt volume, but it would be nice to feel like the quality of threes were a bit more designed and less forced because we have nothing else going on a possession.

aka "YOLO Kelly Oubre Offense" we basically did a reverse clogged toilet to equally unimpressive results

Slightly off topic, but I was really impressed with Toronto offensively from a scheme and organization standpoint when we played them. They ran fun stuff.

i'm hoping we are in kindergarten phase of lee's offense. any team with a good poa defense - raptors, celtics, miami - just blow this up with ease. i do feel this basic offense was partly to blame for micic looking like he had no business in the league. we dont have a roster full of guys that can get rim pressure without screens. we might have one - mann.

Charles on a podcast holding forth about the injuries, Mark's rehab, getting Miles more involved, and sticking to The Process.

The way he talks about Mark seriously sounds like the dude had another season ender. Keeping him emotionally supported, make him “feel like he’s still part of the group” wtf is this lol, this is not how you talk about someone that’s ramping up to play

He's been "ramping up to play" since Trump's first presidency

Mark Williams has missed 65 games, Lonzo missed over 200 games in a row. The fact that our fans want to act like like its the same thing is nuts.

Meanwhile the reports are Mark is progressing, doing individual workouts... He probably needs to have 3-5 team practices before the team decides to play him in a game. That means as soon as we hear he done 1 team practice he is probably less than a week away from playing again.

Mark has been injured for 365 consecutive days

"65 games" is window dressing.

I pray he's back balling in a few weeks and all this is behind us, but I would never put all my eggs in that basket until proven otherwise

Team wasn't seriously try to win this year anyway. If it happens, great, but it's not the goal. I would be monumentally more upset about how we handled our Center position this off season if we were expected to be a legit playoff contender.

Yeah, we are in year one of the restart. They aren't gonna do anything special with all the hurt guys already so it's fine.

I watched the reel access and I remain skeptical of Lee’s leadership style, maybe treating them like a little league team with the love and Dom Toretto family quoting but I find it hard to believe that was the vibe in some of those deep playoff run teams he was on where the roster is filled with vets who know that the NBA is a business and not a family and they might not like their teammates but know how to handle business on the court anyway

Maybe he knows how to flip the script if the time for that ever comes but idk, he comes off as more of a “good cop” assistant than a head guy to me. We’ll see

I dunno, I've seen him yell at guys on the sideline plenty of times. I don't think he's only sunshine and rainbows.

Yeah he's been pretty vocal from what I have seen. He's got on Melo a few times and he's our best player.

My only complaint with Lee so far is the 3pt shots. We should design some plays to get easier baskets at the rim or mid range.
