so if Spurs say they are happy to trade down to 4 if we include Miller. They will include anyone not named Wemby, Castle, Fox to make the deal happen.

Do you listen?

i'd ask for more picks than they would reasonably entertain

but really, we need to be looking for players that can play WITH Melo/Miller/Mark, not instead of them

34% from 3pt on decent volume. Mechanics look pretty good. 78% from the free throw line. Its hard to say but he doesn't seem like he should be a bad shooter.

Tankathon has 4 Aussies going in the 2nd round, that's gotta be a record for us if it happens

And I'd sure as hell be wanting Castle if Miller is involved at minimum. I don't know where this Castle is untouchable noise started but I strongly disagree with it.

Main issue with Castle is how would he fit with Ball and Harper? Would Ball play sf?

so back to you being right, unless Harper is somehow a definite strong upgrade over Miller, you don't consider it

I'm not sure how much Miller moves the needle for any team right now until they see how he responds from this wrist surgery.

look, you are very likely right, but I spend way too much time on here now that I work from home, so I make up scenarios to keep me occupied and entertained. :D

Is it possible Spurs take Bailey over Harper since they have Fox as lead guard

I think the Spurs are more likely to reroute Fox than pass on Harper.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Heres my best initial guess at a predictive lottery mock. I haven't watched most of these guys so I don't feel strongly about these guesses. I feel like this draft would be very difficult to predict even if I had a better read on these guys.

1 ~ DAL: Cooper Flagg
2 ~ SAS: Dylan Harper
3 ~ PHI: Ace Bailey
4 ~ CHA: VJ Edgecombe
5 ~ UTA: Jeremiah Fears
6 ~ WAS: Tre Johnson
7 ~ NOP: Kasparas Jakucionis
8 ~ BKN: Derik Queen
9 ~ TOR: Egor Demin
10 ~ HOU: Thomas Sorber
11 ~ POR: Kon Knueppel
12 ~ CHI: Khaman Maluach
13 ~ ATL: Carter Bryant
14 ~ SAS: Asa Newell

Feels like Ace will be our guy.

I like Fears, but I don't think Charlotte is even thinking pg right now.

While our wings would be set with Miller/Bailey neither are ball handlers or playmakers so we are still asking LaMelo to carry the offense.

In that scenario why not just sign Ben Simmons for cheap and see how he does in that secondary playmaker role at pf. Maybe trade Mark for a stretch 5 to open up the court with Simmons.

Melo
Miller
Bailey
Simmons
Stretch 5?

Athletic long team that can run and guard multiple positions. I'm just freestyling off the head this could change as the off-season goes lol

I'm either Harper, Bailey, or VJ in that order

Hoping the Sixers take him because he can't dribble or be a playmaker either.

If we going to go with someone at least get a guy who's actually good at scoring Bailey or Johnson.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
