Yeah, I'm thinking the latter. Someone is going to get a whole bunch of picks thrown in if they do a deal with BOS.

LeBron setting Love up to be the scapegoat after he suffers another finals loss.

Re: Around the NBA 8.0
Ainge played the odds but his dithering made him smart by 1/2. He acted as though the dumb GM arbitrage would last forever. I like their position though much more 12 months ago. His asset base has weakened considerably vs the alternative.
Sully and Zeller RFA
Turner FA
Amir and Olynyk expiring of RFA next summer
Recent picks Hunter, Young, Rozier, and Mickey not doing much
Getting the 3rd pick in a weak top-half draft
29 GM's knowing Danny has to make a move to simply clear roster spots.

Also doesn't help for BOS that two other franchises (DEN and PHX) also have a bunch of picks to offer and wouldn't mind sending them off for some vets.

Problem is, Love hasn't been very good. Kyrie has stepped up, Love hasn't.

Or the hero, he needs to step up.

Yeah, and Curry although i like him, he is not in the same level as Lebron. Any greats like MJ, Magic, Kobe, Hakeem always stepped up when it counts. Curry? Not so much...

Actually, that's not true. Curry hasn't had it this series probably because he's hurt. But in other series and throughout the season, Curry has made sick late shot after sick late shot to carry his team. Where Curry is not on at least Kobe, Hakeem, MJ, LeBron's level is he's not the 2-way player they were.

Re: Around the NBA 8.0
EDIT: Here's Ayesha's deleted tweet.

I'm loving this.

History will be made on Sunday. I want to see the Cavs be the first NBA team to come back from a 3-1 deficit.

I'm sorry but i'm so sick of the Warriors and Stephen Curry. The second things don't go perfectly for them they lose their minds, claim a rigged NBA. You know who the NBA is rigged against - the Charlotte Hornets. Everything goes right for Steph, everyone excuses his every bad action. Its getting very old

IMO a big mistake by Kerr to start Iggy

The sense of entitlement coming from the Warriors has me rooting against them. They don't deserve to win the championship this year.

Yep, Lebron won't be in the running for regular season MVP anymore simply because he isn't likely to have any reason or need to gun for great stats until the playoffs start, but once its playoff time he is still quite easily the best player on the planet and probably will be for at least another two seasons after this. Durant and Westbrook are the only guys I could possibly see challenging him for best player status in the next couple seasons, but it isn't likely barring injury.

Man, the Warriors look like utter shite w/o Bogut; they're all fur coats and no trousers. I thought small-ball was the wave of the future and that the Warriors proved you could win without a rim protecting 7 footer in Bogut in last year's Finals?

I think people forgot that its nothing new and has always just been simply a valuable tool to have in your arsenal. It died out during the Shaq era and once teams adjusted to him being gone and started using it again everyone reacted like it was some shiny new thing that would dominate the league.
