What does our PF rotation look like after that trade? If Miles goes down, who would play 4 either as a starter or backup?

Was just toying with ideas and realized I don't know the answer to that question. McDaniels?

At some point, one of Kai, Thor, Kulboka, McD (and Carey/Richards) needs to get actual PT.

Otherwise, there's no point in having 15 developmental bigs on the roster.

Hopefully by the time the Deadline comes, one of the youngsters has established themselves as worthy of steady PT so that a PJ-for-a-big trade lessens the hit to the rotation

Nukic played terribly last night, but their whole team outside of McCollum has looked bad to start this year. If the Blazers decide to blow it up and Nurkic is available we should make a move for him.

Plumlee, Carey, and the Pelicans pick

LaMelo/Smith
Rozier/Martin/Bouknight
Hayward/Oubre
Bridges/McDaniels
Nurkic/Washington/Richards

Every starter can go for 20 at any time and a bench full of long wings that can defend with developing talent behind them.

I'd use Bouknight as sweetener for a Jarrett Allen trade if we could

Tough, but would literally complete our team. Very hard to say no to that.

We will end up with Harrell. So it's been in the works. I'd trade pj for him now while we can.

So Bol Bol wants out of Denver, I know he's another project but he's one that Denver gave play off minutes too and brings ring protection that the others dont. He can also hit his free throws unlike our starter.
Rail thin still, but good length and I was surprised by his ball handling abilities

I'd be tempted to give him a fly if they were happy to swap him for one of our projects.

I'm honestly a little intrigued by Richards after last game. Still light years to go, but he actually looked like an NBA player.

yeah it was positive that he showed something, was thinking of adding Bol Bol to fight for that spot.

but i guess you need to promise bol bol minutes if your going to trade for him i guess. especially seeing he's in a contract year

Richards+2nd is probably the furthest I'd be willing to go to get Bol Bol. I'm not convinced Bol is an NBA player.

Me either and I really think Denver won't trade him for less than a 1st so his value is likely too high for his impact. I am not convinced he's better than Thon Maker. I know he's way more talented but Maker can move and he wasn't a NBA player either.

I don't see any of these players becoming available unless you overpay outside of TT.

Derrick Favors

I can see Favors being had for a decent piece like a 2nd or two 2nds.

Yes. He looked great with players NOT named “Nate Darling”.

Oubre, Bouknight and PJ Washington for Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade

We would have to rely on Scottie Lewis backup minutes if we have injuries but it balances out both teams, Mobley is already one of the best centers in the league IMO

Allen and Mobley is working well so far, I can’t see Cleveland trading him

Soooooo.....

Y'all think we're gonna make a move for at least a decent center before the trade deadline? It's so frustrating that that's by far the biggest thing holding us back from being a serious team.

Let's see some fake trade suggestions.

Do you guys think Derrick Favors would be of any help, or more of a similar player to Plumlee? He's also only 6'9 but he's been solid over the years...definitely seems like he could be had from OKC for cheap. I really just want a 7 footer who can defend and rim protect...I mean we would take such a leap if we had a center near the caliber of a Jarrett Allen/Clint Capela/Mitchell Robinson...it's really wild how deficient we've been at the 5 in the last decade.

If Favors could do that kind of stuff anymore, Utah wouldn't have attached a 1st rounder to dump him on OKC...

I think Nurkic is our most realistic trade target. He's likely on his way out when free agency hits this summer. And due to that and his injury history he probably wouldn't cost that much to trade for at the deadline. Very few teams have cap space next summer as well and I doubt many of them would want to break the bank on an injury prone big man. So we could sign him for a pretty affordable price (a little less than Valanciunas due to injury history).

Plumlee, Carey, and the Pelicans pick is a fair deal for him at the deadline.
