Let's not write Al off. He's not getting traded. I just want for him to get healthy and in shape...and to start giving a damn with some effort. Clifford also has to hold him to that standard. If we can get Al back to that All-NBA level we could possibly win the East like we envisioned before the slow start.

Maybe, if Al and Lance play on the second unit and Hendo + Hairston are traded for Afflalo (I know you hate him but the team needs a shooter).

Except Jefferson is so much better than either of them. Kind of tragic to be honest. Love the guy to death, but I feel were better off without him. If he had just an ounce of any kind of athleticism we would be one hell of a dangerous team.

Glad you are coming around.

Nothing against Biyombo, but I think we still need an upgrade at the starting center position in the offseason. Someone who can play sound defense and offense at the same time. Who that guy might be who knows.

Al is opting in, so we won't see that guy next year. It would have to be the year after, with Biz being the backup.

Jefferson is going to get traded if we keep this up.

F*ck Afflalo. And no to bringing Al off the bench. Clifford just need to get better with rotations and strategical substitutions.

I don't think Cho has the balls to shop him. And then who would take him?

Mozgov just got two first rounders for him and he is absolutely horrific, and his "rim protection" is one of the most overrated things I have ever seen. We can at least get a pick or two plus an expiring for Al.

Ok but you didn't answer my question. Who in your opinion would give us that?

Off hand? Hell I don't know. Maybe the Suns? They have all the guard play in the league, but no legit post presence. Right at the 8 seed as well. Maybe they're willing to go all in this year.

I think the Bucks could use Al, they are currently above .500 and Sanders is an idiot, could use a #1 scorer too.

Not a bad idea at all. Bucks and the Suns are two teams I think could use him. All Id want is a pick or two and a couple expirings.

I seriously doubt the front office is even considering trading Big Al. He's a nice guy that Clifford loves and was widely considered our best player just a month ago even if I partially disagreed. Only players that are malcontents get traded away like that.

I doubt we trade Al unless we keep playing really good without him and when he comes back we suck again.

Fun fact - Jefferson is letting people shoot so many open jumpers that he actually is 7th in the league in defending drives where he stays between the basket and the opponent. Taj Gibson is "worse' than Al in this case, per example, and is right underneath him.

props to Vantage Sports for such an insightful stat.

Al doesn't seem like he would have any interest in taking a secondary or 6th man role. What is going to happen when he comes back if we go back to sucking on both ends of the floor? If it ends up clear that we need to continue playing the style we have been while hes out how do we effectively utilize him without significantly changing his role on the team?

I'm fine with Al opting in, with the cap going up and loads of teams gearing up for the 2016 off-season an expiring Jefferson would be one of the best trade assets in the league. We'd easily be able to pull off a trade that is advantageous to us.
