MKG is our best player by the distance of Philly to New Jersey... to Kentucky... to Charlotte.

This guy is a freak, it's a shame that box score watchers will never understand his true impact (even though he stuffs box scores)

If Korver can be an all-star, MKG can be one too.

But there was were nice "in between" takes and makes as well. Some floaters and things we hadn't seen much of before.

IF (huge if, I know), he was able to add a semi-reliable 3 ball (think Leonard: 3APG on about 34%) to his current bag of tricks and kept improving on his bag of tricks while getting his FT% up to the high 70's do you think he has it in him to be a #1/#2 scoring option on a good team?

If he can add a 3 ball, then he easily can be a 2 I believe. I don't know if he has the mentality of a #1, but he can easily be your second leading scorer.

Im not sure if he can be a #1 or #2 option on a good team....its possible though he has a great work ethic and his motor never stops. If Jimmy Butler can average 20, i think MKG can average close to that.

He'll always be our #1 on defense.

Perfect #3 on offense.

Funny you should mention Butler because I was looking at his stats (20/6/3) and was wondering what's stopping MKG from getting there.

By the time he is the age Butler is now I expect him to be a better player. He is almost exactly 4 years younger than Butler and showing signs of improvement every season.

I was worried he wouldn't pick right back up on offense and may struggle for a bit. It's good to see the layoff didn't hurt him there.

So.....we need to go ahead and extend MKG. We could sign him pretty cheaply before he goes off next year. He's the KEY to this team, that's been proven many times.

Can't until the offseason, but we really should have discussions. Butler and Kawhi will get max deals, MKG will be cheaper, but who knows what he'll cost after another season WITH the cap increase incoming prior to 2016.

Give him the 5 year max.

Get him a chauffeur, personal chef and fluffer.

He'll never leave.

Rotowire.com has an explanation for MKG's play...

"MKG's looked very good since returning to the lineup from a minor hamstring issue, averaging 17.7 points on 56.4% field goal shooting with 7.3 boards in three games. Perhaps not coincidentally, that's when Mo Williams began filling in for Kemba Walker (knee) as the Hornets' point guard. Walker is out of action until at least mid-March, so Kidd-Gilchrist could have some surprising short-term value in the meantime."

No.

MKG gets more shots with Kemba out, but is not the reason that he's improved.

Clifford is actually letting him play.
