Hawes' deal would probably be hard to move.

He was decent in Cleveland though so it could interest them.

Personally I'd rather Hairston because he has played his role pretty well over the last month or so.

We should go after Whiteside if the space is available.

I thought I wanted Whiteside as well, but after the way this season has played out no way. He is not a good team defender, he chases blocks and gets caught out of position all the time, I think cole Aldridge dropped 25 or something on him the other night because of that. He also never passes out of double teams and just turns it over, extremely high turnover rate. He also is getting in public disputes with bosh and wade, if he can't be in line on that team with Riley and former champions, what makes you think he will fall in line here where he will think he is the best player on the team. Unfortunately Whiteside has all the tools to be a generational player, but his bball iq and attitude will hold him back, if we have to give him more than 12-15 mil per year im out.

Hornets: get Tarick Black and Nick Young
Lakers: get Spencer Hawes+ Second round pick

hornets get a good tough rebounding big, a good roll man; a good shooter+a little swag+Iggy's ass for this forum..
lakers get a big who can pass from the high post, in theory a good fit for Byron Scott's fake princeton offense, more importantly spencer can really help lakers tank beautifully, make all the pinpoint high post passes to prove Byron Scott is running princeton, at the same time piss off Kobe to death, but ultimately get the No.1 pick of this year...

He can produce superificial numbers but he really is that bad.

Stretching him is a good idea imo.

after NOP tried to get gay for eric and gee i dont think we could get him,.they seem to overvalue him some. gay isn't anything special but he can still score in the high teens and is on a good contract, gordon is expiring and is putting up worse #'s.

we certainly dont have a rudy gay to trade them and i wouldnt trade draft picks for him.

I dont think Al has any value at all since he is injured and will most likely be pretty terrible when he comes back
