As I said a few weeks ago, Monk + this year's first + filler for Beal. If Bridges can develop into a stud we'd have three really good pieces.

Biz, Monk, Frank and 2019 first

I like this....I hope WAS would.

It gives them a young piece with potential to be a Beal replacement in a couple of years and a first rounder to add another young piece. Granted, if this deal went through, I think we would be in the top-4 of the East and our 1st rounder would probably only net the Wiz a mediocre-at-best draft pick.

For us, we get Kemba a proven SG that is only 25, while clearing out Frank's carcass and Biyombo's horrible contract.

For real. I was 95% resigned to thinking nothing would come of this for us and we wouldn't even be rumored to be in talks.

I would be more than happy to part with all three to get Beal. We'd have to throw in Marv too though to make salaries match.

If I'm Mitch, my first offer is either Marv + Lamb + picks or Batum + Monk + picks, but I'll agree to Marv + Lamb + Monk for Beal if I have to.

I don't think that's possible without WAS including filler, but they do have a couple small salary guys they could throw in.

I wouldn't start off with an offer of Monk and a first, but if we can move one of our albatross contracts AND get Beal I would not think twice about it. Let's get some lawyers in a room together and get this done now.

That said I think Monk could be special in time, but he isn't right now, and we don't have the luxury of waiting for him to develop.

I don't really expect the Hornets to land Beal, but trading for him would be a good move and it's nice to see how active the rumors are.

If we trade Batum in a Beal trade, I will be absolutely thrilled, but I will also feel a VERY SMALL amount of guilt that Batum will have to start next to Dwight again.

I'm not going to lie, part of me kind of hopes we come out of this with a cheaper deal for Otto Porter.

I mean, if something in the ball park of Marv + Lamb + picks gets it done for Beal then absolutely, but if its going to take Lamb + Monk + Marv + picks, then we'd end up pretty thin in terms of depth/assets.

You could definitely argue its still worth it, but at that point I'd rather do something like Batum + 2019 1st (or a bunch of 2nds) for Porter. He was 13th/24th in the entire league in RPM and shot 44%/43% from 3pt the last two season. We still wouldn't have a true #2 scorer, but Lamb can serve as a poor mans Beal and Porter could make up some of the difference on offense, while greatly bolstering our defense.

This may be controversial but I would offer a slightly less appetizing package to Portland for CJ, I think CJ is the better player personally but with his size and age, I get the feeling most would strongly disagree.

Yeah, was just thinking through what our rotation looks like if we do a big deal for Beal (Lamb + Monk + Marv) where we keep Batum.

Kemba - TP
Beal - Bacon
Batum - Macura?
Miles - MKG
Cody - Willy

Torpedoes our depth. I guess it kinda makes sense if we plug Frank back in at PF, but a TP, Bacon, MKG, Frank, Willy lineup isn't super exciting.

I think the Wizards would be crazy to send Beal to a team in their own division, but I'm glad to see that the organization isn't content with the status quo. At the very least they've made it known that they're ready to deal. If another team wants Beal they will need to come to the table, and if the Wizards won't send him to Charlotte maybe we can pry another player away like Gallinari in a 3 team trade.

Wash would have to be desperate for the price for Otto to be that low (which they might be)
