you've never heard of - nbadraft.net, the athletic/sam vecenie, john hollinger, nate duncan, jon wasserman, fran fraschilla etc...? those are some pretty big names in the draft community.

the point of all of it, the people who cover the draft for their jobs are pretty much split 50/50 on the best player available.
if either side says otherwise its just confirmation bias

Im just going off what I see on tv bro. Woj is pretty much the best in the business, sure he is wrong every once in a while but most of the time I trust what he says.

Also if you believe in Vegas odds they had Miller as the favorite last I checked.
You are only getting espn content in that case

Regardless, woj is just a mouthpiece.

I'm not arguing who are rumored to pick. I'm arguing the that draft experts are split on who they think is the better player.

It's two different things. Projected picks vs ranked big boards.

How many of those are true big boards vs being influenced by pick prognostication?

I understand that.

Im telling you most people only know about what they see. ESPN is a worldwide network. Of course they mocks will pick up the most viewers.

We all have our favorites. If you think Scoot is the best player fine. I think Miller is the best player. I will support whoever they choose.

That's honestly wonderful, and refreshing to hear.

I think we can definitely do better than just 3 for Lamelo.

Same. I'm 55/45 scoot.
Either player is fine by me. I'll root for either the same.
I'm fine with trading for zion also. I've changed my tune on that one.

Today is the first day I've casually watched espn in months. Typically I've been watching draft podcasts. It's going to take months for my YouTube algorithm to recover from the amount of draft videos I've watched in the past few weeks.

Not to crap on ESPN or anything, I hold Jonathan Givony in high regard. He and I were acquaintances from when he was a regular poster on realGM under the nickname cheesedoodles.. I wrote articles for Draft Express for several years in the mid 2000s, back under the former name when it was draftCity before they were sued and had to change the name and shut down the old site.

So many of these nba writers and bloggers were originally just posters on here talking like we still do.

Seeing what Donovan Mitchell and dejounte Murray got in return last year, lamelo should at least be similar to what Murray received, maybe a tad below since Marie actually plays defense.

I actually agree with both of you here. I definiately think we can get more than 3 for Melo but I been saying we should trade him for a minute.

I like the idea of Scoot and Miller.

This mock is why I want Miller. Imagine if Bufkin Schifino fall to 27. I also see he's high on Jalen Slawson one of my sleepers. He is like a mix of Jalen Wilson and Colby Jones

I have seen like 2 people boast that Miller is without a doubt BPA in the draft.
Where as like 70% of Scoot supporters that is the basis of the pick, claiming he is BPA and Miller is just in convo for fit.

My take has always been it is a conversation between the 2 of them. Not that 1 is guaranteed to be amazing and the other sucks. Hence why I look at fit, team needs, what is a winning formula etc...

That Mock doesn't have ANDRE JACKSON. Imagine if Andre Jackson doesn't get drafted. Signs a two way, and wins rookie of the year with a stat line of

0 pts / 0 ass / 0 rebs

If anyone can do it its Andre Jackson

I have a hard time taking this seriously. Miller 4 - fair enough, but Smith Jr 6 (waaay too high) and Whitmore 10 (too low) is laughable.
He's got Jaquez and Maxense-Prosper barely getting drafted after word from the combine is that they were two of the bigger risers/sleepers.

Admittedly I'm not sure Jaquez's back to the basket game will translate well but this guys projection seems quite intentionally contrarion.

He's putting a lot of faith in a non-shooter playing in a joke league at 3.

ESPN coverage around this is hilarious. 80% Wemby hype. 20% Scoot. Most I'm hearing about Miller is just he is tall and can shoot.

The shooting incident really killed his marketing potential I guess.
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

Oh and Coach Spins has Scoot going #2 on his mock.
