Re: Ball Don't Lie: The LaMelo Ball Thread
Indeed Fatlever, the media coverage for the Hornets is a complete joke. The most discerning articles I’ve found aren’t published…they exist on websites like At The Hive, where former reporter John DeLong takes a fair look at things. Here is the most recent article linked:

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Hoping his ankle sprain doesn't turn into a big deal

Otherwise it’s shut him down and tank the season!

I guess that's not bad, but was hoping it'd just be a little rolled ankle.

Re: Ball Don't Lie: The LaMelo Ball Thread
Any guesses on the starting 5 without Melo? I'll guess Rozier, Martin, Hayward, PJ, Plumlee.

Re: Ball Don't Lie: The LaMelo Ball Thread
Some mediahere talked about Maledon saying (from his agent) that he will soon sign a two ways contract in a franchise. Article names Hornets among a few more franchises among the potential franchise (no further information). Not sure its here though, but they only have mc gowens as a 2 way contract for now.

Well that sucks. Steve sounds optimistic at least.

Re: Ball Don't Lie: The LaMelo Ball Thread
It's a legit question
Can Melo's style, personality lead a team to sustained success. He's fun to watch, but is he a winner? I guess we will find out in next few years.
Like, is Melo someone who likes to win? Or hates to lose? I think our team is a bunch of guys who like to win. The truly great players hate to lose. I want to see more of that mentality from him and all our players, frankly.

Re: Ball Don't Lie: The LaMelo Ball Thread
I guarantee you that whoever called him trash didn't shoot 39% from 3 on 7.5 attempts per game at age 20. Even if he doesn't have generational vision (he does) and handles (he does), that shooting definitely excludes him from the "trash" label.
