Something tells me that if we trade Frank he’ll become more consistent elsewhere lol. But that speculation is a mere factor in Frank being 2nd on my list of players I want to see traded with Batum being 1st. I wonder what we could get with them two packaged together. Probably nothing more but more average players alike. We’re stuck with them.

It is interesting that only six players on the team have a positive +/- stat: Walker, Kidd-Gilchrist, Howard, Williams, Lamb, Batum. Even Zeller comes in a -0.8. Kaminsky has -3.5.

http://stats.nba.com/team/1610612766/players-traditional/?sort=PLUS_MINUS&dir=1

The same six players are also the only ones with a positive net rating: Kidd-Gilchrist, Walker, Williams, Howard, Lamb, Batum. Zeller has -3.0, Kaminsky -7.8. Basketball.com, which uses a different scoring, comes up with Williams, Walker, Zeller, O'Bryant, Lamb, Kidd-Gilchrist.

If you are going to trade someone, it should be Kaminsky, since he is the rotation player with the worst overall stats, except for the rookies and Carter-Williams.

The reason those guys have positive is because they play with kemba... the other guys have negatives because they played with monk... if you switched kemba and monk you'd have the exact opposite list of guys...

That's why +/- is useless. Multicollinearity. You have to adjust the raw data to give it any validity.

+/- is not useless, it's just not helpful for diagnosing individual performance. It's very helpful for diagnosing lineup performance.

Monk has played less than 10 minutes in six of the last seven games, so how can he negatively impact Frank when he's on the bench?

MCW must be negatively impacting Frank too.

Eh, it definitely looks like Frank is doing a fine job of negatively impacting not just himself, but everyone he plays with many games. I expected to see a lot more consistency from him this year and for him to push for a starting spot. Instead it looks like he didn't really work on his game at all.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Yes, that is true... i shouldnt have made such a blanket statement. I meant in terms of individual player performance.

Even still MOST lineups don't get enough minutes together for +/- to be particularly helpful.... other than your starting lineup and main bench lineup.... if you use 2man and 3man combos you can get some pretty good data though

Is it bad that I had a Felton flashback on this play?

Like when he would juke the stats so much that it would list Frank with all-time greats like LeBron, Jordan, Magic, etc? Those were great.

Or the hosting site that he used to make charts may have shut down.

I ain’t know MA gave up on Frank so soon. He missed the post asb barrage.

I thought I’ve seen Flip Murray posting at the beginning of the season.

That dude is hilarious.

ESaL should post more too. He’s super funny and also has some great insight.
