I like both picks of MKG and Taylor. But now the front office needs to focus on signing some bigs and a point guard in free agency (in case DJ doesn't come back).

I believe DX top 100 rankings. He is 15th there. Based on that great pick up in second round.

gut call: jeff taylor will have a better dunk than UPS' best in his first 2 seasons.

Here is a video with a little bit of everything JT does. Clearly way better then UPS. I think he will be a nice role player for us.

I love Jeff Taylor at 31 - LOVE - great second round pick. I never thought he would fall to us. Like this pick much more than MKG at 2.

That Aaron Afflalo comparison is spot on with Jeffery. Probably a more athletic version of Aaron. Can spot up and shoot and play very good defense. Shot 42% from three last year in college. The only problem with him is his handles and ability to put it on the floor. I think we might have a steal with this guy.

For the second year in the row Bobcats select a guy who was on top of my big board. Well not MKG but Taylor was my pick for 31 for a long time now. He just seems like a perfect role player athletic, great defender and can stretch the floor with his shooting. Afflalo, Bruce Bowen, Shane Battier, Dudley are all valuable players and I think Taylor will fall into this category.

We finally have a three point threat. It's about time.

Seriously, with the game of basketball being as it is today, in my opinion, that was the worst aspect of our last year's team - we just don't have guys who can shoot from long range. It's like we were a mid 80's team.

People who are bashing this pick are doing so on the basis of we already drafted a SF. People need to realize that first, Cho has stated multiple times he believes in draft BPA, trade for need. Not only that, but ALL teams SHOULD do that automatically in the second round regardless. Even putting that aside, Taylor actually does fill a need because last time I checked you need depth at SF. He's a cheaper, and probably better option than UPS. Probably better than Reggie Williams.

This guy can flat out shoot and he isn't one of those shooters that that's all he does. He is also a good defender. He will be a valuable guy off the bench because of his ability to stretch the floor. Also a good one to combo with MKG in terms of one being a slasher and the other being a great shooter. If we hadn't gone MKG first, i would had been all for Quincy Miller.

We may change the title to JEFFERY Taylor... for some reason he is spelled like that.

Press conference and one on one with Rochinski is up. I don't know whether he is just so tired or he is depressed. It may be just me but his body language and his statements doesn't seem to fit together. I understand that ending up in second round when you are told to go in twenties and on top of that being pick with the very second pick of draft who plays the same position could be tough. And go to the historically bad team who you didn't work out for on top of that. I hope it's the former and not the latter. I like the guy, it may just be he has introvert, emotionless face I can't read but he being quite outspoken contrast with Kidd-Gilchrist who is lucky to finish a simple sentence but you can see his excitement (that is not meant as a knock on MKG, I hope he gets better in that, but it is hard to watch his interviews). I stumbled on some past confidence issues I hope those are gone if there were any and he will fit right in.

Edit: I was yet to watch press conference and went by the one on one. Jeff seems eased up in that conference.

He's basically the SF version of Hendo except with better range as far as can surmise. I only saw the Vandy games against UK I think and I was watching UK more closely than Vandy but he definitely stuck out as the most impressive Vandy player to me.

Seems like a good use of pick 31. We lacked a shooter that could defend and seems like that's what this fella's mo is.

Welcome to the Bobcats.

Just a side note. Taylor can score. 16 a game as 2nd option behind 1st rounder Jenkins. And shoot - 50% FGs 42% 3s (over 150 attempts)....

This was an outstanding pickup in the 2nd round.
