Not a big fan of them "bumping" him from TV. He messes up every now and then, but it's not so bad that he should be demoted -- it's sort of endearing in a way, especially for a guy that has had the history he has with Charlotte. I much prefer Martin over a more "refined" broadcaster like Matt Devlin like we used to have, especially when it comes to local broadcasts. Martin was very good in his position, with the right mix of personality/broadcast ability and a slight homerism, and he and Curry made a great duo. Someone like Devlin, he used to seem to have no passion for the team, and took a very calculated and professional approach that is perfect for TNT or ESPN, but not for a local broadcaster. You can tell by the way that he calls the game that Martin definitely cares about the team.
Martin has been in the business for awhile, so I'm hoping that it was maybe a decision he chose to cut back some, or something like that. I'd hope that we didn't really just demote him. On a side note, I haven't listened to who does our radio broadcasts for awhile, but I thought the guy that used to do them (I forget his name) was actually quite good. Looking it up, it looks like the radio guy was Scott Lauer, and it looks like he was let go recently as well (see

I heard ratings were up, so maybe they got complaints from new viewers or something. I hope the team isn't going overboard here, because I don't really see a problem with the broadcasting team that we've had -- in fact, I would say that they have been pretty damn good.
