I understand what they are doing here but damn... so much for competitive balance and smaller salaries - the CBA has got us nowhere. For arguments sake, let's say that McGee and Favors completely flop and don't live up to their contracts, while the Lakers steal Melo or Kevin Love (I know, I know... I'm just saying, hypothetically it is possible) over the summer and become semi-conteders for the 14-15 season, where any other team would have gone through 5 years of tanking following the ageing of Kobe and Pau.

Then we're back where we started before the lock-out...

Yeah, it was standard cringe-worthy play from Mully. If he actually found the weight room he might not clank threes off the front of the iron all game. The LAC announcers are at least top 3 for worst in the business. Heinsohn would have blushed over some of the homerism that one guy displayed.

Thomas Robinson looks terrible, just a 6'8" athletic rebounder. He's like a homeless man's Faried. Nothing can compare to the total suckitude that is Joel Freeland though. If he and Mullens were having a "Who can be the more worthless shot jacking white guy" contest than Freeland won a unanimous decision. At least Mully can make one from point blank range.

49million is to much, Favors is good but i dont know that he is spectacular at any one thing, he is more of an
all-round PF that will average about 17 and 9 with a block and a steal and a lot of fouls averaged more than 3 on less than 24mins per game

i would make a clever joke but there's not really a whole lot to be said about mullens' talents at this point that hasn't been joked about already. dude's a scrub. seriously, nothing more. man, what a relief it is to be rooting for players at the mcroberts level instead of him.

mully has attempted 43 threes in 6 preseason games averaging 21 minutes per game.

to put that in perspective, that would be an average of 12 three attempts per 36 minutes.

he is averaging 30% from the floor.

is there no coach that can get thru to mully?

My new favorite activity this season will be watching Mully's statline and the clipper's fans reactions. So glad he's off our team.

Mullens will vanish to the end of the Clippers bench once the regular season starts and the games begin to matter.

I feel rather sorry for Augustin.

Oddly enough I dont mind Jack (we dealt him just in time, if we kept him i guess we would hate him for mandatory extension shenanigans.

I root against most players that we let go so they don't make us look even dumber than people think we already are if they succeed. Selfish reasons I know.

I personally root against the Pistons forever because I feel like that organization ruined one of my favorite players of all-time in Allen Iverson career by trying to make him a bench player because they thought Rodney Stuckey was the future.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 9m
Jazz won't go any farther publicly than acknowledging talks ongoing but I'm told deal -- if completed -- will be richer than Favors' deal -

Jazz on signing Hayward to a deal. Sure is alot of $$$...

I hope we're not forced to give Kemba max money.

I'm absolutely sure Kemba won't be able to command over $12 million annually, if that. However, I'm utterly surprised that Gordon Hayward could command more than $13 million annually when he hasn't been that productive. I mean, Hayward is good but I wouldn't pay him more than $9.5 million annually based on his performance so far. Marc Stein must have been misinformed. No way.

hayward should be getting paid in the neighborhood of the wings that landed deals this summer, like mayo, ellis, henderson, tyreke. paying him more than that range doesnt seem to make much sense.
