There you go Mr. KnowItAll. Cho read the board and copied our offer. The Magic didn't want Henderson back. The deal was more about cap space, not talent.
That's a damn shame that we have 'starters' that we can't even give away attached to 1st rounders to other teams
I wouldn't say we couldn't do that in all situations, just that in this situation, the Magic preferred cap space.
Their GM sees Lebron + Melo + maybe Bosh on the move and knows teams like the Bulls (Gibson) + Clippers (Crawford/Dudley) + Rockets (Parsons) are looking to part with talent to make room for these superstars.

As I said in the other thread, no one wants Henderson at all. Still kind of surprised Magic turned that down, but as you said I guess it was about cap space.

Then maybe Cho should do the same to clear space that'll allow the Hornets to exhaust Taj Gibson via trade or even go after Lance Stephenson via free-agency with aggression, but what do I know? Gary Harris/Elfrid Payton and K.J. McDaniels/Mitch McGary will fix all of the problems

...and who the hell is he going to defend? He was one of the worst defenders on Duke. Made Jabari Parker look like Luol Deng

I think if he could dump Henderson for crap he would. But he's not getting a real player like Afflalo for Henderson.
Cap space is more valuable right now.
Love + Melo + Lebron + Bosh?
C'mon now.

And we're trying to do the same thing with Henderson, but as the story has gone for a long time we can't find any buyers.

They should've just kept Rudy Gay. They would've had more potential to be more than 1st/2nd round playoff fodder as currently constructed. Neither of Tayshaun Prince or Ed Davis panned out well for them, just walking assets in which they lose assets to incur
