He tweeted a verse on Oct. 24, must have been a hard practice.

But seriously though, I find it a bit insulting to him that he can't make expressions of his religion without folks trying to use it to analyze his emotional state as relates to the Hornets.

It's honestly weird as all hell that he can't tweet a verse without it being analyzed by some of his fans. Damn near stalkerish in my opinion.

Heh, didnt take long for some CHA fans to start hating on Lin in order to clown on his more fanatical fans. Stick to talking deserved **** about Lin, and he's provided plenty of ammo, rather than try to make fun of the more rabid and not bball savvy of his fanbase. Theyre too easy a target to rile up tbh, as they often say alot of stupid **** in response that makes the reasonable among us look bad.

I used to be pretty hardcore that Lin can be a star if given time and touches (those stints where Harden missed games and Lin went off really fed into this belief), but after his Laker's season where he didnt have the balls to get pissed and fight back when he got benched for Ronnie "Head of the Snake" Price and buck the reigns and try to get his after Kobe went down, i pretty knew from there that his beta ass aint gonna be big time. Doesnt mean he cant be a good starter, but he'll never be a star with his stupid attitude and weak personality. With the way he gets flustered so easily it often makes me wonder how the hell did he even get as far as he did.

I don't hate Lin because of his hardcore fans. I don't hate Lin at all, not even close.

99% of posters here only care about his production on the court. He could tweet his love for Satan 45 times a day if he wants. I don't care. Just play well, and help us win games, please.

Imo most fans here want the team to win but also for Lin to succeed, not for him to relegate himself to scrub status which is what's been happening lately. Lin's journey is like a storyline where we want to see him overcome obstacles blah blah.... *insert inspirational crap here*.

If he plays up to his capabilities, the Hornets will win more games so it goes hand in hand.

I really don't think that is a fair characterization of what longtime Charlotte fans are doing. Lin on a bad day is still an upgrade to the backup PG play we got last year. No one is really hating on Lin and I think we are all happy he's here.

Yes, that was the tweet that his inner circle had to fire off an email to clarify.

He can and does make expressions of his religion without people trying to use it to analyze his emotional state. (He puts bible verses in his youtube videos without anyone freaking out, or expressions of religion in interviews). It's just that he doesn't do that cavalierly with Bible tweets. Those have often corresponded with specific emotional low points.

I think you've used harsher language talking about Lin than anyone else here. I haven't read every post, but I haven't really seen any unfair things said about him that constitutes hating. Take a deep breath and hope he and the team plays better on Tuesday.

I read on a Taiwan news site that there's a rumor about trading Lin to Bulls. Anyone heard or has that kind of sources?

Meh, I saw that on twitter a couple days ago. Was on christianpost.Com or something.

Rumored deal was Hinrich and a 1st rounder for Lin. Of course it's not true though. I'd love the trade for the Hornets.

I'd put the likelihood of such a rumor at about 0.0001%

I doubt that would make sense to any parties (whether the two teams or the players). Besides, he can't be traded right now anyway, since he just signed. At the very least, you'd have to wait a few weeks till he's trade eligible.

Nah, I'd rather try sign Lin next summer to a long term deal. That is more valuable in my eyes than a crappy late 1st from the Bulls. Hinrich is toast. Lin can't be traded until December 15th anyway.

First round pick in the low to mid 20's is nice, unless you're our team. Ajinca, Hairston.. etc.

Loved the Dudley pick. Wish he was still on our team.

*ponders* Yea i think i used the wrong word there, now that i think about it. More like Liver Pooty's behavior in his recent Lin posts are more like baiting the idiot segment Lin fan brigade in hopes of them to respond stupidly. It's more likely he's saying the stuff in jest (i'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt) but all too often in the past i've seen stuff like that spiral out of control with the hardcore Lin fan brigade responding in force... stupidly. Hell in the bad old days i'd see people with multiple sock puppet fake accounts of being LOF (Lin only fans) and LOH (Lin only haters) supporters go back and forth at each other in hopes of drawing the mainstream crowd into the stupidity and with core goal of making Lin and his fans look bad. Yes, **** like that happens and even after getting caught and banned the damage is still done and their mission accomplished. Lin draws that much hate and yea it's a toxic environment and i'll admit i've become sensitive to perceived slights and insults from it and was ready and more than willing to lash back.

However, nowadays now that i know Lin wont ever be a star cuz he's a goddamn pussy chump i dont get as worked up anymore. I think alot of the Lin hardcore brigade has realized that too so they've melted off quite a bit and mellowed out. Still, being from a taiwanese-american upbringing similar to Lin, and still desperate for him to succeed (as faint as that chance is). I know what gets folks like us motivated. It's a swift kick in the balls and for people to tell them in their face they're screwing up and need to shape up. Simply put, let the hate flow, he needs to channel all the hate directed towards him and succeed to shut em up, sadly all he's done lately is proving them right for mocking him all this time.

Pfft God and Hey-Zeus would push me off the clouds for being the cynical bastard that i am. Hate has made me stronger! I wish i had more hate in me when i was younger, woulda gotten more stuff done and not been such a pussy. I support the Dark Side :P

The burning question on my mind today: is Jeremy Lin's spiked hairdo intended to make him look like a Dragon Ball Z character? As they say at atthehive http://www.atthehive.com/2015/9/25/9398777/jeremy-lin-has-turned-into-a-dragonball-z-character, perhaps this is a good thing?

If there's one thing watching DBZ as a kid taught me it's that when you power up, while yelling and screaming, you get bigger and faster.

While I didn't find out whether Jeremy wants to be Goku, I did learn about his passion as a gamer.

Turns out Jeremy Lin's favorite Pokemon is Blastoise. "He's a beast." http://deadspin.com/5898773/jeremy-lins-favorite-pokemon-and-other-things-he-discussed-once-the-painkillers-wore-off

"Blastoise easily proves itself as a top-tier wallbreaker that demolishes unprepared teams. Rapid Spin is for clearing entry hazards on your side of the field. Scald applies defensive pressure to the opponent's team with its 30% chance to burn, further hindering the opponent's opportunities to set up entry hazards."

Fascinating

Image

Blastoise, however, lacks spiked tresses.

Meanwhile, his favorite DOTA characters are Spirit Breaker, Phantom Assassin, Tide Hunter and Ogre Magi. DOTA is a 5 on 5 battle game, sorta like Pokemon basketball. http://www.ongamers.com/articles/nba-s-jeremy-lin-dota-2-is-more-than-just-a-game/1100-1143/

While I still don't know whether Lin's new hairdo was inspired by DBZ, I do know one thing, Jeremy LIn is a Gamer.
