We are in a funk. It'd be nice to bounce back but I don't see it happening. We are a Lowry timeout away from a 5 game losing streak

I hope to see a little adjustments from coach in this one. I know coach would not change the starting lineup since he wants each of his players to be comfortable with their roles, but in this one I hope coach starts lin or give the lin/kemba/batum lineup a little longer stretch to counter IT/Bradley/Crowder line up... as coach said, IT is a difficult cover for any team, i think the best way to cover him is to let Lin attack him to the point Stevens has to take him out of the game, sub Turner in... when IT is on the court, you have to explore the mismatch... IT is a master running the PnR, he runs a lot flare screen and misdirections, he basically killed the Hornets in the third quarter by running it...Kemba has to do a better job to identify his moves...
Quite frankly, the Celtics did not play well in last one in Charlotte... the hornets simply played worse. I expect them to play a lot better in this one, the Hornets has to prepare well for this one, be the more aggressive one, take advantage of the home court...
another change I want to see is to run Kemba/Lin on the strong side more, let Batum be in the weak side to stretch floor and cutting, that is what Batum was very good at in Portland... just to free him up, let him play off the ball, get him some easy buckets to get him going...

Very good point. They could have beat Boston last time. It is going to be a good game.

I think the key to getting out the funk is Frank and Lamb. I think more Frank helps, and Frank is doing a great job. Lamb has to get out of his own way. Yes, some adjustments were made to Lamb after his hot period but he's better than what he's been doing in most recent games. I think Kemba, Batum and Lin are givens along with Marv to a point. They'll give effort on D. If their shots fall, great. If not, no chance. But even if they do, can't give up too many easy baskets. Here's where Frank helps Cody, he has a rim presence at least. Frank stretches the floor on the other end. Just hope he doesn't pump fake too much.

Yea its that simple. Whoever IT is guarding (Kemba/Lin) needs to relentlessly attack him cuz he's a TERRIBlE defender. Lin was driving by him every chance he got but was mitigated cuz Lin was usually consigned to the corner and IT gets a free pass on D while Kemba gets smothered up by Bradley who's an EXCELLENT defender. Cliff really screwed up there by not shifting the focus of attack onto Lin when IT is in there. Once IT is out then it really hurts their offense as he was literally scoring at will in the 2nd half. Kemba couldnt check him at all cuz his legs were totally shot and IT got to rest on D.

Gonna see if Cliff is continuing the adjustment where Lin subs in earlier, gonna be interesting to see if it helps Lin get off to stronger starts and able to maintain it into the 2nd half, which sadly he usually doesnt, except against HOU.

I think Lin gets more minutes but I'm leery of too many. I think Kemba and Batum may burn out with the high minutes. Lin hits the floor hard a lot, takes a lot of charges. He doesn't know how to play any other way. So, 3 facilitators need to be paced through the season and playing Kemba and Lin so many straight minutes, with Batum getting minutes in the high 30s a lot of these nights may just wear them out.

LOL you want me to ban myself for carrying on a board tradition that dates back almost a decade, and putting it in a spoiler tag labled "hot xmas ladies" no less?

Please tell me you are joking. If not, you're probably not going to like it here.

I was thinking another mod was going to ban you lol...still wow...this board sure is liberal in its rules, not that i mind 8-) So can anyone just post pictures of hot chicks? any limitations?

teams have been keyed on Kemba and Nic really hard since everybody knows the Hornets does well on PnRs... the way the team can counter is to moving the ball early and quicker, which they did really well at times (for example, the first quarter last game)...the other way is to change the tempo a little bit... the league has become space and pace league, if you look at those top teams, they can play fast and slow...take advantage of other teams' transition d... the hornets have two dynamic guards in Kemba and Lin, they can push the tempo...however, not sure if coach clifford will do it, he is pretty conservative in a lot of ways...

A) Is posting pictures of hot cartoon girls in lingerie really that liberal? That is pretty much the norm for most message boards
B) Yes, anyone can post picture of girls
C) Of course there are limitations. This is not a porn site. Things need to be PG13. Put in a spoiler tag so that those who do not want to look at girls (maybe they are at work).

Maybe take some time to learn the rules and mores of the board before calling for others to be banned (which is backseat moderating, which is strictly against the rules and possibly grounds for a ban)

I hope we don't end up paying BATUM too much money. He is a hard player to understand because he is off and on. I don't know what we should do with paying him

Good point

Watching from Tokyo. This is a must win. Gotta prevent any kind of losing streak from lingering
