Ill be honest, jlin needs to lose some weight. 200lbs for a 6'3 guard is way too bulky, and I think it might be a reason for his constant ankle injuries as well as his poor shooting mechanics this season. For his height, I think 185lb would be IDEAL, with 190lb being acceptable. Looking at some of the best PG's in the league who are also similar height: steph curry, derrick rose are both under 190lb. He should do some yoga/stretching exercises along with his normal weight training. Also some cardio and hopefully a DIET.

Everyone has different physique. Muscle mass and bone density all contribute to a person's total weight. I think JLin's weight is fine as it is. It's more the style of plays that really contributes to the frequency of a player being injured. JLin isn't very injury-prone TBH....

He's been listed as 200 lb since 2010. He lost weight purposely after his knee surgery and went on a diet. I don't think the NBA update players' weight on record.

Lin doesn't need to lose any weight. That's crazy. It's one of the reasons why guys can't push him around that much that outweigh him when he plays D. In street clothes, Lin actually looks thin.

Lin is fine. His injuries were caused by accidents. If someone over weight, the damage is usually on knees. Lin doesn't have any problem, he is pretty balance which has good up body and lower body strength.

Lin broke an ankle in High School and maybe that is why he has some issues now.

Sure, if he didn't broke an ankle, he would have no problem landing on anybody's foot.

Lin is skinny as **** in real life. He doesnt need to lose any weight, if anything he needs to pack on a few more pounds of muscle since he gets smacked around alot. Add some muscle without compromising speed is the best case scenario. At least some more muscle in the legs to help with explosiveness and his shot fatigue off of jumpers.

Well...Lin's been listed at 200lbs for years now, but we all know how inaccurate these stats are. He is noticeably bulkier now than he was a couple years ago. He has definitely last about half a step. He's still fast, but he used to be one of the fastest guys in the league (I'm sure all Lin fans know about his combine numbers vs Wall, Rose, etc).

It could also be injuries catching up to him.

All in all, I'm ok with his game slowing down. He's not going to be super quick forever and he's going to learn to score in other ways other than trying to drive it to the hoop all the time...which I feel he has already been doing this year.

Great to see that he looks OK! :P

So I guess it's nothing serious. Still, rest, rest, rest.

True, but I'd guess it's not very serious. Otherwise, he'd be rehabbing, on a crutch, MRI etc. 8-)

What's impressive is...last year, he was making $15M, so getting an expensive gift for all his teammates was a given. This season, he's the lowest-paid non-rookie on the team and he still did it. Kudos...

I think Lin slowing down has more to do with him conciously trying to limit his turn overs. He is learning and mastering to play at a lower gear most times and only go into high gears when necessary. It's better for his player career.

When he gets the chance to use his first step, he can still get into the paint with ease, hence he is still the top if not the best player on the team in term of getting to the free throw line, and we all know how many times he gets slapped in the face and can not get a call to save his life.
