Mitch is the best pure drafting GM in the league. Look at his history. He's drafted so many gems from the Lakersuntil now. I think Jordan finally got it right...

Yep, and if you get the chance you should look into the coaches we've hired for both Greensboro and Charlotte. It's a seriously impressive group of people. This franchise hasn't been in a position for success like this since the original team left Charlotte.

And as you said we just added three 5 star recruits and a player with a top 5 scoring resume for all of college basketball over the last few decades (Riller) in a single damn draft. Which Mitch somehow accomplished by giving up a mere 2nd round pick.

If you aren't excited to be a Hornets fan right now then you need to pull your head out of your ass.

I agree. Mitch has been killing it for the last couple of drafts. When he has the money to spend and a team to spend it on (next year) I think we will see some nice well thought out free agent acquisitions too and then we are going to be good.

Looks like he's already changed his number due to the Hayward signing.

Been going back and listening to the live draft shows some of the draft podcasts I listen to did. Kinda fun to hear the live reaction, and I don't really remember much from the broadcast outside of the top 10 and our picks.

Mostly the same stuff: LaMelo pick was great, two bigs were odd, and everyone LOVED Riller's value. Like, once we got to the 20s he started popping up on some "best available" lists, notably one mentioned him as the top player left after Round 1.

It's really interesting to have a guy thought of so highly on a two-way deal, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get promoted sooner than later.

This has got to be a cap space move. Likely an unfortunate result of the Plumdog Millionaire trade.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I was kinda surprised by this. I thought he might be a cheaper alternative option to Monk so when Monk was not tendered I figured Thriller would be kept around. Maybe missing so much time at the start of last season while injured played against him?

Shocked by this. I can't see why they would let Thriller go. It's not like SG is a position we are loaded at. At least not after this season. Thriller had potential to be a dope 6th man.

I have read there is still interest between Thriller and the Hornets. Maybe he will resign.

Tough situation with four double-digit scorers in front of him, and now a first-round pick. Hope they work it out, insurance in case of a Rozier trade?

Maybe he gets the MLE or biannual (do we have that this year?) and they're just trying to preserve the cap space.
