Guess I'll finally learn how that guy's name is pronounced.

With his strong defense, Clifford will like him

Contract is non-guaranteed so this is more of a flyer it seems. Though he has some good NBA experience now and is a decent defender. This franchise has neglected the backup PG role for about a decade or more now. The last time they did anything to address it, they did it horribly by drafting DJ Augustine over Brook Lopez. Come to think of it, surprised they didn't just bring DJ back instead.

I’d rank Ramon sessions and Tony Parker above the Dj draft.

DSJ didn't want to be here.

Dennis Smith was good on defense, but literally ranked awful in every offensive metric.

Realistically Rozier will be the backup point guard and Frank is more there in case of injuries.

No way this is the answer at backup, right?

Wait that's what you said when they signed DSJ:

Has Theo got a contract yet? Backup point guard is still up in the air isn’t it?

this is the single biggest issue with not having a real backup. The combo of LaMelo/Devonte' at PG allowed Rozier to be 100% off the ball two seasons ago, and that's why he had the best year of his career that year. Rozier at point sabotages both him and the rest of the offense.

If you are saying never play Rozier at PG, then we are going to have a better player squeezed for mins.

LaMelo (34) - Frank/Theo (14)
Rozier (30)- Martin (18)
Hayward (28)- Miller (20)
Miles (30)- PJ/Thor (18)
Mark (30)- Richards (18)

vs

LaMelo (34) - Rozier (14)
Rozier (18)- Martin (22)- Miller (8)
Hayward (28)- Miller (16)- Miles (4)
Miles (28)- PJ/Thor (20)
Mark (30)- Richards (18)

Basically in V2. You give those 14 mins of Frank/Theo among
Martin +4, Miller +4, Rozier +2, Miles +2, PJ/Thor +2
while decreasing nobody elses mins.

To me that is worth seeing Terry bring the ball up the court.

any floor general PG worth playing is better than Martin. I'm not talking about Frank or Theo. They are liabilities in any playoff setting. For giggles, let's say we trade back for Graham but this works for any rotation level guard

LaMelo 32 / Graham 16
Hayward 20 / Rozier 28
Bridges 12 / Miller 28 / Hayward 8
PJ 28 / Bridges 20
Williams 28 / Richards or Kai or more small ball with PJ at the 5 opening wing/guard minutes for whoever.

LaMelo, Bridges 32mpg
Hayward, Rozier, Miller, Williams, PJ 28mpg
Graham 16
20 flex minutes for anyone at any position, since PJ, Miles, and Hayward can all easily play up a position.

Martin/Richards will get plenty of court time since Miles is suspended early in the year, Hayward is always banged up, and Richards can be more of a situational piece when PJ at the backup 5 won't work.

Have you seen Graham since he left the hornets? I would play Martin over him without hesitation.
Graham shoots under 38% from the field and is a much worse defender than Martin.

KTM really not a fan of Martin or Richards.

I had a giggle thinking about clown Kai taking minutes off Nick.

Not that anyone gonna lose his (her) sleep about it, but Ntilikina injured his thigh today during a friendly game against Lithuania. No more info to provide since he will have to do a scanner to check how serious it is.
