I feel like if you've ever seen a fully grown kangaroo up close and you choose to fight it just because then you're clearly not right in the head. They're like human-deer hybrids that went to prison and have a roid hookup.

It was just ball movement, somehow OKC made the Pacers bigs look like Dirk there. Hali could barely get by his man, not sure he's got even half LaMelo's god-given tools but I guess the nerves of steel make up for it.

Is this Pacers team the most entertaining team in basketball history?

One really cool thing about them Ive noticed is that they don't stop running their normal team offense at the end of games. Most teams let their offenses slow down and become static and iso heavy at the end of games. Indiana has guys flying all over the place and whipping the ball around til the very last second of the game. I think this could be part of why they are good at making these comebacks. They can keep scoring in quick bunches til the very end of the game.

The Pacers team is simultaneously the best and worst thing ever. The best because they're fun and entertaining.

The worst because... man... we could totally be them. If there ever was a team to base the Hornets on, it'd be them. Very frustrating that we're floundering in no mans land when a team that is more or less a supercharged version of the Borrego Hornets are in the Finals.

If this Pacers team ends up winning it all Rick Carlisle deserves some kind of award named after him.

Carlisle did what great coaches do; he had a vision, saw what players he had, and built the team and style around their strengths. Here we have Coach Lee trying to make us Celtics V2B.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

i screamed a bit like the Korean guy when it happened, i just couldn't believe Pacers had stolen it again.

what makes this Pacers team good is there is no selfishness. Haliburton as the "star" trusts the system for them to win.
during the playoffs ive heard the ongoing criticism about Haliburton disappearing during stretches, Reggie Miller said it again last night.

OKC concentrated a lot of their defense on stopping Hali, so the Pacers went another route with Nesmith and Nembhard starting most of the offense.
It worked and they clawed their way back, then Haliburton got to use his talent to seal the win. alternatively Thibs stuck with Brunson doing his thing and made the defensive simple and obvious for Pacers. Bully the crap out of Brunson, he got tired and turned it over.

the coach has a system, the players have bought into it and they're winning games no one expected them to.
its sort of rare in an ego driven NBA, but its awesome to watch when it works.

Doug Branson said on the lockedon podcast that Steve Clifford went to their practices last season. They need to hire an exorcist.

Per Peterson re: Clifford in Brooklyn.

"Our conversations were magical".

Statements like that tie a knot in my stomach. You don't need to fluff nor sugarcoat Clifford's demotion. He is stuck in the past like Thibs.

Nothing magical about that unless watching paint dry gives you an adrenaline rush.

Every level of basketball in the US besides the NBA should play by the age appropriate FIBA ruleset.
