Doesn't look like he's playing, but excited to see what he can do! Also has some size, which is great

He's listed as 6'4 and that is probably being generous. Not exactly big for a combo guard and not known for his defense.

He's getting paid rotation player money, he needs to step up. It's now or never.

.

He has a career 4 rbs per game average so he is not exactly a shrimp, almost double Sexton's from this year.

Even if it is just a little bit more playmaking and a little bit more size vs Sexton that could be a nice upgrade. White is much more of a volume 3pt shooter though. He takes 7.2 three point shots per game vs 3.5 for Sexton.

Pretty much it seems. 3PT shooter on comparable volume and efficiency to Brandon, more in line with how the core plays.

Per Cleaning the Glass, Charlotte attempted 4.6% fewer of their attempts from behind the arc when Collin played, and they made 3.7% less of those attempts.

Basically, the Hornets totally altered their shot diet for the worse when Sexton captained the offense.

The Hornets were losing Sexton's minutes by 6.3 points per 100 possessions -- a 21st percentile number in basketball, and the majority the Sexton led unit's struggles were on the offensive end. The Hornets desparately needed a less volatile back court option who also played their preferred brand of hoops to keep their offense afloat without their superstar point guard on the floor.

Charlotte's defense took a major step forward in the month of January, finishing with the third best defensive rating in the NBA, but Peterson pointed to White's offense as the primary driver for the trade.

"He's a dynamic shooter. His offensive skill set is high level...I think he can really stretch the floor with the shooting, especially shooting off the dribble. He makes it very tough for defenders to guard him. They have to switch up their coverages with him. I think he's an underrated passer."

"We hope that he's going to be a Hornet for a very long time."

With Melo we need to have a starting level backup for when Melo is injured or rested. We can't find a high-level backup PG and then get cheap when they want to be paid.

And unlike Terry and Sexton, Coby has SG size. This isn't another one of our small combo guards.

Yeah I was shocked how big Coby looked next to Miles and Brandon.

As I’ve said, I really like this deal…great to have Coby as a Hornet. He has skills, size for the position, and can bring impact results as a backup 1 or a 2. Peterson’s comments were clear…he sees White “hopefully playing for the Hornets for a long time”.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He seems very low-key

Huh, due to his calf injury we were refunded the 2029 Denver 2nd in the deal. At first my heart dropped thinking it was a Mark situation

That’s good I guess. Some more spare picks to tinker with later.

I could've swore "amended" was "suspended" and got Mark flashbacks for a second there.

So I guess we ended up +1 on the 2nd round picks this deadline. Although I think we sent a 2nd round pick to the Celtics for Tillman too,

The pick to Boston is a top 55 protected one in 2030
