seems based on this... but don't see any mention on tmz or tmz_sports, which was supposedly the tweet origin. lemme know if anyone finds an actual source. putting this in fake news category, for now

Dumb question. Would it be possible for somebody to "see" LaMelo driving in his hummer? Those things are pretty high off the ground and he had tinted windows. So I'm not sure it would be possible to see him driving even if he was wearing some devise.

for all he brings in playmaking... i'm worried there is a ceiling on our playoff level if melo can't/won't score or improve efficiency in paint (for fear of ankle reinjury?)

44% on all 2pt attempts (18th %)
36% on all non restricted zone 2pt attempts (250+ fga)

avoids contact, won't/can't draw fouls, bails out early in favor of mid-range/floaters, or settles for 3s

hopefully a big area of development this summer, if he has a healthy offseason for once.

2k gotta get his own shot package. These are just his normal shots at this point.

Seriously so talented. It would be scary if he actually took the game more seriously. I feel Melo has the talent to be a top 5 player if he really locked in.

But this is his personality and it shows on the court. Guy plays just like he drive WRECKLESS! :banghead: 8-)

My fears, and also my expectations for him. Yes he has improved his effort on defense, yes he is integral to how others play with him in the lineup, but those limitations are real. AND, we’ve only seen regression on his shooting this season, and very little improvement on his discipline relative to efficient possession management. As JustBuzzin said, how GOOD could he be IF he gained these attributes and applied them consistently with his other talents?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Love or hate him, I can’t think of anyone we could bring in to run the offence like he does. We’ve seen what happens when he’s not on the floor.

I agree there maybe a ceiling as I’m worried how he will go with the extra physical playoff pressure.

this really does make a difference

SGA last night 6/15 from field, 1-4 from 3 yet 14/15 free throws so the game headline blared Thunder win behind SGA 27 points, while the accompanying photo showed SGA clad in bubble wrap

in games where Melo's 3 pt shot isn't falling agree it would help win if he could pivot to drawing fouls

My worry with LaMelo, besides injuries, is that he doesn't know when to stop shooting. If he was 2-10 and had 12 assists that'd be better than being 5-20 with 6 assists. Sometimes he reverts back to old LaMelo and does hero ball stuff when he doesn't need to.

I said it elsewhere on here, but I don't think we have a real #1 scorer. So we need to score by committee, and when the shots not falling you need Melo to get others involved as much as possible.

Lamelo being sloppy with possessions in the Miami game definitely hurt them a bunch. If we are going to actually be good he can't continue to waste chances with jacked up 3's early in clock with no one in place to rebound, loose passes and weak on ball D. A good team like Miami can lock in and is smarter with the ball on a more consistent basis. Melo could become more like that but will he? He is both occasionally amazing and yet other times stupid with the ball in the same game way too much.
