Dejuan Blair just wants minutes... he'd play for you.

Also ought to throw Bobby Brown & Sonny Weems out there too. Summer acquisitions.

in b4 somebody mentions that he has no ACLs in his knees even though he doesn't have a history of being injury prone not to mention being 2x better than any player we currently have in our frontcourt.

How much of injury history do you want from player who doesn't even average 15 minutes per game? He is twice as good as anyone on our team yet his minutes and stats mirror Adrien's. NO. We do not need to commit resourses to an undersized center with no ACLs. Can't you just loose with dignity instead of throwing money at any possible horse remedy?

I was kind of hoping we would of traded for Blair at the deadline. I like him for the Bobcats.

He averaged just over 20 minutes per game the previous 2 seasons without injury. And yes he is twice as good as any 'frontcourt' player on our team because his production this season and for his short career is superior compared to any player in our 'frontcourt', no mirrors about it. We don't have to lose our dignity to sign Blair to about a 3-year/$14 million deal.

Let's not compare the Spurs to the Bobcats. At the money mentioned above Blair makes sense.

He wouldn't accept such a deal from the Bobcats. As the laughingstock of the league we have to throw out a little extra rope to lure in quality players via free agency.

That may be the case, but you use the word "quality" a bit loosely. If we're going to overspend I'd rather it not be on Blair. I like him enough, but wouldn't give him 5-6 per.

I think he's worth 4-5 per and I consider him quality since he does have a career PER of a little over 17 in 4 seasons in the NBA. Any big that has a consistent career PER above that I would consider a borderline all-star or better.

With Sessions being out for the next 2-4 weeks, what backup PG should we pick up?

Selby?

Damn I hope it's Selby, I did just see on the WT the Maine Red Claws picked him up.

Selby would be a savvy move. By the way what's Lester Hudson up to these days?

Nnamdi Asomoghua, Wes Welker, Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings, Dwight Freeney, James Harrison, Dashon Goldson.

It's really quite astonishing how differently the NFL approaches player movement vs. the NBA. The guys above are but the tip of the iceberg, and teams routinely let stars walk . . . and seemingly just plug in the next guy. Is it that the player pool is just so much larger? As the fan of such a floundering NBA team, I wish there was easier player movement in the league, that there was some easier way to add impactful players. Wouldn't it be more exciting for us as fans if the league allowed better player movement?

Football is the ultimate team sport. One star player on a team in the NFL doesn't compare to the same impact one star player could have on a team in the NBA so it's a lot easier to part with individuals in that league (unless that said player is a QB). Not to mention the NFL has a hard cap that has to be met in order to participate in free agency if I'm not mistaken.

Fewer people are tall enough to play seriously in the NBA. It sounds silly but it's the biggest reason outside of the hard cap.

Per wiretap, Utah is willing to let both big al and millsap leave in free agency to play their young guys and get a better '14 draft pick
How much do you think both will go for?

11 players on the field at any one time and up to 53 players on a team at one time (not including practice squad guys) lessens the impact of great individual players.

To me it all comes down to what we do in the draft. If we get mclemore or shabazzz we should pursue millsap jefferson and or hickson aggressively imo. We will have our young core pretty much set in that scenario so its time to start attempting to win and see where mkg kemba biz bazz/mclemore can lead us with a solid scoring big

If we draft noel keep the tank going full steam ahead sign whatever scab guys we need to fill out the roster. Maybe field a competitive offer for mayo or tyreke but dont break the bank or anything
