I've contacted Synergy Sports with similar thoughts on my mind since they used to offer such stats to the public. I hope to gain some sort of access to their database.

For those who don't think 'Alfense' exist, and that it's just a mythical philosophy being thrown around, here you go

It's Al's fault that our guards don't attack the basket in transition?

It''s Al's fault (and Cliff's) that our guards don't take jumpers early in the shotclock. It's also unequivocally Al's fault that we cannot guard the rim. I don't see how anyone could honestly refute that.

Am I the only one that constantly hears Clifford shouting at Kemba to push the tempo in transition? Seriously, on 30 - 40% of rebounds you can hear him shouting and seeing him motioning with his arms to get the ball up the court. When have we ever seen or heard of him discouraging guys from getting out in transition? MKG constantly did that earlier in the season.
Further, I would be VERY curious to see the stats broken out by position in the article MKIA linked to. I'm guessing that the vast majority of those shots are not taken by big men.
Also, I'm pretty sure MKIA's point and reference to "Alfense" has nothing to do with defense, or else the top 5 mark we played it at last year would put the absurdity of mocking that to bed.

LofJ wrote:I didn't say anything about transition offense. I know Clifford has been preaching for our guys to attack in transition. That's why I mentioned (outside of transition opportunities )that we rarely take shots early in the shot clock, because we don't.

I realized the other day that I couldn't remember a single instance of someone making a transition 3 and I honestly couldn't even remember someone attempting one. I'm sure we've hit a few that I just don't remember but it seems like there is no way we aren't last in the league in transition 3s. I wouldn't be surprised if it was by a pretty big margin.
