I know some of you guys are still salty over this but here's an article and a 7-minute highlight video of Diaw's season:
http://www.poundingtherock.com/videos/2 ... est-career

Some beautiful stuff in that video. He's really been more aggressive than I've ever seen him. His play has been a big reason (Manu is probably reason number one) why I watch the Spurs so damn much. Just beautiful ball movement.

Except everywhere Brown goes his players tune him out instantly. Yeah, no, Mike Brown sucks. He just does, end of story.

I don't remember the top seed in the Eastern Conference Cavaliers w/ LeBron James tuning him out, and the arrogance of the championship Lakers core would tune out any coach not named Phil Jackson

i still love boris, even though he quit on us. he's just so much fun to watch. he was never going to fit on a rebuilding team. he has to play with great players to really bring out his best.

on paper, that 2010 bobcats team really should have been better. its a shame that team never really gelled. people will look back and think, what happened? when you look back and see - wallace in his prime year, jax in his prime years, diaw in what should have been his prime years, chandler in what should have been his prime year, felton in his prime + solid vet role players in nazr, ratliff + two young lottery picks in augustin and hendo. such a shame. of course that team was missing an alpha score, but their sum should have been better than their parts. on paper, that should have been a 50 win team for a few years.

but reality - pussyfoot was a disaster, prime felton was still not very good, diaw and jax never could figure out how to coexist, augustin and henderson were overwhelmed, wallace couldnt stay healthy and larry brown couldnt stop being larry brown and higgins did nothing to stop larry brown from being larry brown.

RE: 2014 NBA Draft Class

Forbes: NBA Wakes To Find Entire Class of '14 Aren't All That

"If you called the Pelicans, the Cavs or any of those teams and offered this year's first pick for their guy (i.e. Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving), they'd fall over laughing," says a Western Conference personnel guy.

"There's zero chance of any team taking anybody before Jabari Parker," says an Eastern Conference personnel guy. "And there's zero chance of any team taking Wiggins before Joel Embiid."

I guess Nando de Colo will get some burn at the 2.

I think Nando de Colo's service will continue to be very sparse and/or limited to not receiving minutes. The Spurs still have Marco Belinelli, Maun Ginobili, & Kawhi Leonard to rotate SG/SF minutes. I think they'll even give Cory Joseph some burn alongside Tony Parker with Patty Mills getting a bigger bulk of the backup PG minutes if need be before Popovich give Nando de Colo meaningful minutes. I just recognized how much depth the Spurs had. Thanks 'LamarMatic7'

went to raps/bucks tonight. my first meatspace viewing of antetokounmpo. i am far less skeptical about him after seeing him in person. he moves really really quickly, and has great hops. damn is he thin, though. decent stroke, good passer, really getting the most out of his youthful energy. still has a long way to go on awareness, though. he is rookie biyombo-esque at times. had a pass intended for him whir past his ear, and missed several rotations. still, he has a knack for crashing the boards or cutting to the rim when someone drives the hoop.

larry sanders looked awful, for the most part. ilyasova just would not miss. the bucks roster is pretty depressing, overall.

valanciunas looked MUCH better than the bobcats game i saw last month. though he did get stuffed 3 times in one possession, which is difficult to accomplish, particularly if you're 7ft. his toughness was a lot more obvious this game than the bobcats one.

Ryan Anderson is all messed up. He's gonna need neck surgery. They're just holding off the inevitable by talking that 2 months stuff. I was hoping it wasn't nothing serious when they said it was just a stinger initially.

Complacent as usual. The only moves Presti make is to stay under the cap. I see where Cho get his acumen, or shall I say obtuseness from

I would argue with Lance Stephenson

DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan has had a better overall season than Lance Stephenson, and his team is in the cusp of playoff contention as well

yeah, i would be OK with that decision as well.

i think teague and kemba are definitely out of the discussion right now.

Teague should be in instead of Kyrie, but that's for another discussion, without mentioning that Kyrie was voted in by the fans

the East All-Stars are gonna get killed by the West All-Stars unless the West goes easy on them
