You should not utter such words in the MKG love dome.

Lol, well if we sign Parsons he definitely wont come off the bench thats for damn sure. Unless MKG totally gets his shot together, which according to report hes on his way of doing.

I'd consider starting both he and Parsons.

Also how the hell are we going to get rid of Hendo S&T with the Pacers?

Not going to get rid of Henderson period. Hes that toxic right now around the league.

A year ago I was convinced (by MGMT) CHA was gonna go young, in year two of a rebuild. Then they signed Al Jeff. Then they brought in a vet to plug every open roster spot (Tolliver, CDR, Ridnour, Neal). They clearly had changed their mind on a tear down rebuild in favor of making the playoffs. Mission accomplished.

Then this month Higgins resigns and they draft BPA instead of fit. I have no idea what the roster will look like in a month. In hindsight there seems to have been a tug of war between Higgins' win now old school fill every spot with a vet and Cho's youth build a sustainable future. Who knows what Cho is about to do with the 20 M cap space he has carved out. With Vonleh and Hairston and free agents coming, its hard to see him reupping McRoberts & CDR. Tolliver's as good as gone. A youth movement typically means a step back in the win column. Replace McRoberts in the starting lineup with Noah and CHA wins fewer games. Short term anyway, right?

At this point I just feel Higgins is gone, good riddance, finally, and it's time for CHO to put his stamp on this team. Let's see what he's got planned, because right now I have no clue.

That's much better. Go softly now into the night.

Lol, I give all of our players much due criticism. Parsons is better than MKG, a wet fart is better than Biyombo, Zeller was below average, Kemba was inefficient, Jefferson was spectacular, and McRoberts is severely underrated on this board.

Henderson is so damn average at everything he does im just kind of like "eh"

You do criticize but you also favor certain players like everyone else. Prime example is you call Biz a wet fart and Zeller below average. Unless you consider a wet fart better than below average you got this backwards.

here is my prediction our future squad. It's might realistic/pessimistic opinion at the moment

Al Jefferson, Biz
McBob, Zeller, Vonleh
MKG, CDR, Taylor
Hendo, Hairston
Kemba, Sessions

Yep, I'm a pessimist, I think our free agent signing will be Sessions and that's about it.

I think the only exception will be an overpay for Deng.

Hopefully Melo signs at Houston and we at least have a chance for Parsons.

I agree with the minimalist approach Sach.

I think we either trade for Lin or sign Sessions and that is about it.

I'll be ecstatic if we keep it simple.

Kemba Walker/Ramon Sessions/Jerome Dyson
Lance Stephenson/PJ Hairston/Gary Neal
MKG/Hendo
McBob/Noah Vonleh/Cody Zeller
Al Jefferson/Bismack Biyombo

I'm assuming we are stuck with Hendo so I wouldn't resign CDR (who I would if we could unload Hendo) or Tolliver so that Hendo could get most of his minutes at backup SF to open up playing time for Hairston. Stephenson will also provide some more depth at SF and PG so we could save money by going super cheap with our 3rd PG with a guy like Dyson and we wouldn't really need to sign another SF since even Hairston could play some SF in a pinch. With this setup I would barely play Neal (pretty much give him the Ben Gordon treatment) but I have a feeling that Clifford would still somehow favor Neal over Hairston. I also think Clifford would favor Zeller as the backup PF but I would just give the minutes to Vonleh since neither of them will need to have that big of a role and it isn't like Zeller is very good at this point anyways.

edit: I would probably occasionally try out some pretty exotic lineups with this roster. Like Kemba, Hairston, Lance, MKG, McBob/Vonleh, in situations when we can afford to go small. We could have lots of versatility with our rotations next season. I hope Clifford starts to be more flexible next year.

Both would be fine. Price has better traditional point guard skills but neither of them will ever see the floor and I'm just more of a Dyson fan.

Vice versa, I'm more of a Price fan. That season with Price, Dyson, Thabeet, Sticks, Adrien, and a freshman Kemba was one of my favorite years as a UConn fan although they fell just short in the NCAA Tournament. That 6-OT game against Syracuse was ultra-classic as well

That was a crazy season. So entertaining but also a frustrating emotional roller coaster. That was one of the most talented teams Uconn has assembled and they didn't even make the NIT.

Oh no, I'm not talking about the 2009-10 season. I'm talking about the 2008-09 season in which they made it to the Final Four. Price, Thabeet, and Adrien didn't play on that team that loss in the NIT

My bad. I skimmed your post and just saw Dyson and Sticks. Yeah, 2008-2009 was a great season

Actually, if we were to convince Lance, the Pacers would be a good fit for Henderson and might be a panic move on their end.

Henderson, Cody Zeller, Neal for Stephenson S&T (3 years 40 million), right to swap picks 2016 and 2018

That would give us all our cap space still to reach out and convince someone that a Kemba/Lance/Al core with Vonleh, MKG, Biz, Hairston roleplayers, all pretty much young and improving, would be a great fit to make a big playoff push...or just save the cap/sign short term players and try to lure Anthony Davis in a few years.

Sign Pau Gasol 2 years 21 million - year 2 being a player option
Sign Greivis Vasquez 2 years 13 million
Fill out roster with CDR, Harris, Jason Smith

Kemba/Vasquez/Harris
Stephenson/Hairston/CDR/Taylor
MKG/CDR/Taylor
Gasol/Vonleh/Smith
Jefferson/Biz

Then we could vigorously go after Chandler Parsons to be our 6th man, and still have enough room to pursue quality depth on the bench at PG and the frontcourt. If that roster came together, we could be talking 'championship' in the Eastern Conference

Kemba Walker/?/?
Lance Stephenson/Chris Douglas-Roberts/P.J. Hairston
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/Chandler Parsons
Josh McRoberts/Noah Vonleh/?
Al Jefferson/Bismack Biyombo/?

Al/Biz
McBob/Vonleh
MKG/Parsons/CDR
Lance/Parsons/Hairston
Kemba/Lance

That is one hell of a ten-man rotation

That's 12 million going to the Pacers, so how would that work with their cap?

Well they hold Lance's bird rights so they can exceed the cap to re-sign him. Once they do they can trade him for equal or lesser salary even if doing so keeps them over the cap.

OK, I see. So Lance is no easier to sign than Hayward or Parsons.
