It's what you call soft. Tough players put the ball in the hoop there.

Got waxed 32-16 in the 4th. Team is dying for another 2-way player that can make shots and guard somebody. It can't just be Kemba trying to score in the 4th. Too easy to guard.

I know they will probably go on a run and make the playoffs once Zeller gets back but this team is so ugly to watch, which is weird because Kemba is an all-star and clearly one of the best 25 players in the league.

Marvin completely sucks and has fallen off the earth, Sessions and Hibbert were failures, and we compounded it by trading for a expensive backup C who is very mediocre and doesn't move the needle. Batum is ok, but we paid him like he is our 2nd option and we can count on him, and we can't.

I hate to say it but we are the Pelicans lite. We got too much money tied up in players that we need upgrades for.

Ouch lol, he's bad but not THAT bad. This team does love them some draft busts though. We hit on a pick a good 10% of the time at least. Just look at Kemba.

Any sites that break down stats based on last 6 minutes of 4th? I'm dying to see our ratings at end of games as well as individual %s.

I really don't think this team makes the playoffs. I outlined my thoughts in page 1 of this thread, but it's going to be really hard to get back to .500, at least for a while. 7 game road trip coming up in Feb. It will get worse before it gets better, with our w/out Cody.

Bucks are getting Middleton back this week and they are right on our heels for 8th. Pistons and Knicks also right on our ass. Heat have one 10 in a row and are now only 2 games back. It only takes one of those 4 to pass us and we are out. I don't see any reason why the top 6 wont stay in top 6. Only team above us that I could see falling w/out major injury is the Bulls. And I've always thought that even as poorly as the Bulls are put together that Wade and Butler would be enough to grind to at least 42 wins.

And I'm fine with us missing playoffs. Getting swept by Lebron again really doesn't interest me.

Kemba +9 even when he's barely functioning and we drop a 10 point lead in the 4th when he's on the floor to lose by 7.

Roberts -16 in just 13 minutes.

We have got to get a decent backup PG.

Jeremy Lin. Come on, he has to be rethinking that move to Nets, right? No hope in sight for that franchise for next 2-3 years. Why waste his best remaining years as a starter on that team? Come back to Charlotte and be the 6th man who closes with Kemba and Batum (ahead of MKG). We'll give the Nets a 1st round pick that they so desperately need to help the rebuild. 8-)

Yup. Cho missed so badly on our backup PG situation this summer.

No need to dump on Frank tonight. He was good for most of the game considering the matchup. Missed layup hurt and he rushed some shots, but I was happy with his play. He wasn't the problem.

Why can't Kemba play more minutes? John Wall averages 3 more minutes per game this season.

Really liked what I saw from Plumlee. You could tell he didn't really know where to go when he set some of those off ball screens, and you can tell he's definitely not used to being fed the ball in the PNR because instead of rolling he'd immediately run to set an off ball screen. He's going to be really good for us.

I think Cho struck gold with that trade. Get us the full MLE + another ridiculously athletic big that excels in the PNR and has solid defensive fundamentals.

Kind of a lose - lose. We used to complain that he played too much.

Odd night to bring up Marvin. 16pts, 12reb, 3stl, 2blks (counting the Exum foul) 5-of-10. That's about as good as you can ever expect from Marvin.

Marvin needs to be 4th option, not 3rd. Batum needs to be 3rd option not 2nd. Guys just being asked (and paid) to do more than they are capable.

We scored 6 points in the last 7 minutes, and 2 of those were on an MKG jumper.

I know he's sick tonight, but Kemba has been the anti Mr. Q4 and disappeared down the stretch for us too often this season.

We better either use our 1st round pick on a PG or use our entire MLE on a point guard (one that doesn't suck balls) or I might lose it.

I have this fear that we pick up the team option on Sessions and try to use him again next year as backup.

Very different than last year.

I remember a lot of complaints about Kemba hero ball at the end of games last year and now that he's passing it to teammates instead of playing hero ball we're still complaining.

We've been getting good looks in the 4th quarter of a lot of these games. Unfortunately those good looks are usually Frank or Marv.
