Agreed but that goes both ways, no? Miller is a great shooter, poor finisher around the rim but improved on that as the season went along tremendously. He wants to play defense as well.
I assume we all think Miller is a finished product and can only shoot? Not sure.
Yes both will improve, but when i look for improvement, i tend to go for younger players...
Scoot : 18
Miller : 20
Scooter had the advantage without having to put some muscle. Which Miller will have to do. And we putting some muscles can screw up your shooting form.
I think what I value most in Scoot is the type of stuff you usually either have or you don't. It's just his mentality and competitiveness.
Look at, I don't know, Garnett, Westbrook, Butler, Curry, Lillard, etc.
Then look at Zion, Davis, Brown, etc.
There's something to be said for having that killer instinct. Scoot has that. Miller absolutely does not.
Maybe Miller can still be successful in this league without it. A lot of guys are. But when you have a chance to get someone with that approach to the game, you shouldn't pass them up because they will just find ways to win regardless of what their limitations may be and their competitiveness will always uplift those around them into something greater.
Scoot definitely would have become the leader/alpha dog of our team. Who is the leader of the team right now? I don’t really see one
