Hopefully he gets in the weight room as well

I hope he comes back on a fair deal and is able to stay healthy. He was looking good for awhile there.

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
In order to sign and trade Tre he would need to sign a 3 year deal, part of the deal can be unguaranteed. I am probably okay just giving him the QO, but if he has more money on the table from someone else which teams could use a player like him?

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
I'm curious what the market will look like for a player who just missed an entire season with a back injury. I could definitely see him letting on himself and just taking the qo and playing next year to build up his value again.
I'm also curious if the Hornets draft vj or tre, 2 guys that would definitely eat into his playing time next year, would the Hornets try to match if he got an offer. For that case sign and trade would be good idea.
I'm not of the idea that the Hornet should rely on mann to be there back up a point guard. I much prefer him in that scoring combo guard role. I want the Hornets to have a legit Veteran's point guard next year. So with that idea in mind mann might potentially be fighting with new draft pick, green, Mille. Nsj for sg mins.
Definitely an interesting decision for both him and the Hornets this summer.
The Nuggets could definitely use another guard that can get to the rim and create their own offense.

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
HEEEE'S BAAAAACCCCKKKKKK
We absolutely cannot go into next season without addressing playmaking and shot creation (Mann alone is not enough, even if healthy), but having him back will be a nice boost, and I don't think the impact his absence (and the subsequent downgrade to absolute dog **** tier guards) had can be overstated.

Absolutely. If we draft VJ and have Mann healthy, we are almost set at the 2.

Love to hear it. Hope hes ready to go. Mann is a legit scoring threat when healthy. Hopefully this is the start of a good offseason.

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
All this time to negotiate and other teams already locked up their guys on bigger deals (Gafford, Steven Adams).
What the **** were the owners doing all this time?

Probably a combination of negotiating and tracking his recovery status.

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
Funny how that works. Back is magically Fully cleared on the day the Hornets are eligible to negotiate an extension.
I'm in no hurry too negotiate an extension with him until after the draft. If we take one of the shooting guards then that changes some things. I would still want to bring him back simply because we lack actual depth especially on the offensive side, but it would be less urgent.

Re: Mann Up: The Tre Mann thread
Tre Mann plays with edge so I'm loving the attitude. He seems to have taken exception to teams abusing the hell out of Charlotte through his brief tenure here.
His former team just won the whole thing. He developed in winning culture, and The Mann seems to really hate losing.
I just love him.
