Sachmo PM'd me his picks before going to bed. He's gone with:

String bean = Kevin Garnett

Ian is up.

I wanted to pair KG with Dwight so bad. It would be the best defensive and probably best offensive frontcourt in the league, but I needed a combo guard. My theme seems to be multiple positions.

I think I'm going to start Monta at PG.

LeBron needs a shooting guard that plays off the ball very well so I select Ray Allen as my Sharpshooter.

Pretty sure I'm going to end up voting for one of those two when this thing is over.

Yeah they are old, but they are all winners and tough defenders.

I think they could it hold it together for 1 more season to win a championship.
Dallas were pretty old this year.

I'd be most concerned with Duncan. He is getting old. Garnett is a month younger, but he's also had supportive surgeries and has a few less miles on his body too. He's not declining as quick, I think. Kobe is Kobe though.

Kobe's fallen off physically but has managed to compensate for the most part. Garnett obviously played quite well last year but is on the decline. Duncan fell off pretty badly last year, especially in terms of minutes, and showed that he couldn't "turn it on" for the playoffs either. It bodes very poorly for how he'll look in May 2011.

Damn. I was hoping KG would last another round so I could use him for my "Homegrown" pick.

3rd rounc pick: Gerald Wallace for all-star category

4th round pick: Marcin Gortat of Sam Vincent's Anaheim Arsenal for NBDL

Next time we will pick in the morning (your night/early morning) instead of 1 a.m. all right? :-)

It was a guessing game who would have better chance to slip to us for 5th round. We figured out that Gortat, traditional center eligible for multiple categories would be surely gone till next round.

Hey we let you Ray Allen. I'm kind of surprised he lasted that long in 3rd round.

I also didn't think that Ray Allen would last until my pick.

I guess it can't be helped for Gortat to last very long in this draft after his performance in Phoenix and the lack of true centers.
