33/2/4
9-11 fg, 4-6 3p and 3-4 ft is an insane line any game but in 30 minutes of international competition it's downright phenomenal.
Stephen Silas would have been loving it.

Starting to sound like SL wasn't a fluke. Glad to see he's starting to find his own and turn the corner offensively
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

Eurostyle boxscore often count 2-pointers and 3-pointers separately, so the first one is not field goals but only field goes other than treys (twopointers). When in doubt add them up. So in this case Jeff's FG was 13-17, impressive either way though.

Sorry I actually meant to write 2p.
Agreed it is impressive either way.
Really excited about JT.

Looks like we have a new job for Lamar. So much for the doldrums

Re: The Jeffery "Mother Viking" Taylor Thread
If JT carries this over into the NBA season - particularly his offense - we're going to have an interesting logjam on the wing. I don't know how you keep him on the bench. Will be curious to see how Ben Gordon's minutes are handled considering we'll likely want to dangle him in trade and he'll be playing for his next contract.
EDIT: BTW, I really liked us drafting JT where we did, but am loving it now. Best second round pick in Bobcats history?

The competition is pretty bad, but good for him.

Re: The Jeffery "Mother Viking" Taylor Thread
recap of the game against GB: http://www.mvp247.com/2013/08/sweden-gbm-lublin/
"“It was fun to see how well Jonas and Jeff played together,” said Swedish coach Brad Dean. “Jonas, we feel the little better and know how good he is and with what energy he always plays. What many forget with Jeff is actually how good he is. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by his athletic ability and how spectacular he is and therefore miss the high basketball IQ he has.
“Jeff can shoot, handle the ball, create for others and also play elite defence. They are very good on the highest level and I am quite sure that both will have really good seasons in the NBA next season.”

Re: The Jeffery "Mother Viking" Taylor Thread
The level of competition doesn't matter - I am happy and excited that JT has been aggressive, looking for his shot, and taking over on offense this offseason. Its exactly what the Bobcats need. He can be a dangerous player if that continues with his size, athleticism, shooting, and IQ.
I just hope we figure something out and give him 20+ minutes because he, Henderson, and Gordon are all going to want minutes

Taylor with 25 & 4 rebs in 35 minutes in a 66-78 loss to Germany: http://live.fibaeurope.com/www/Game.asp ... 795&lng=en
(No Dirk, Kaman, Schröder, Ohlbrecht & Elias Harris for Germany this year)

Re: The Jeffery "Mother Viking" Taylor Thread
what has been impressive is that taylor, despite being the obvious 1st option, is still shooting good percentages.
when do the games start to count? sept 4th?
