Why the hell did Knight even shift over? At what point did he come to the conclusion that he was going to stop someone who weighs 40+ pounds more than him? From the looks of it he didnt even try to establish a charge call position either.

Ty Lawson is playing MVP basketball right now. 32 last night on 71% shooting against Minnesota. How furious would you be as a Wolves fan if you drafted Rubio, drafted Flynn over Curry, and then drafted and traded Lawson for what turned out to be Martell Webster, who the Wolves waived before this season?
Humble yourself.

Calderon was like "Ouch, yeah that's why I don't play defense."

You've got to give him some credit for trying. Even if Jordan makes that dunk 80% of the time with Knight going up it's closer to a 100% if he doesn't. The way Knight plays against better competition has led me to respect him more.

For instance, in the all star game Kyrie put him on skates but at least he wasn't afraid and actually tried as opposed to simply giving up and not playing hard.

I'm totally disgusted with the attention DeAndre Jordan has got all this day. Who would have thought that a 6'11 freak of nature could dunk over a guard!?

Kudos to Brandon Knight for not quitting on the play.

Yeah I'm not going to fault him for still playing D. It's not his fault he was the only one left guarding the rim.

Still though, great effort or not, that's a nasty poster

I'm frustrated the Cats won't pick up somebody while Ramon's out, and here's HOU using players like Kleenex . . .

The Rockets don't just put a strain on scoreboards. For anyone who likes to indulge in the sport of NBA payroll-tracking and salary-cap bookkeeping, keeping up with Houston's maneuvers is a workout.

After the Rockets' latest moves before last month's trade deadline, they have had 25 players on this season's books. That includes the 15 currently on the roster, which is full again following Monday's return to Clutch City for Aaron Brooks, along with a whopping 10 players who have been waived or bought out.

Here's a list of the 10 players who are not on the current Rockets roster but who count for nearly $11 million combined toward the $58.044 million salary cap in 2012-13:

Jon Brockman: $1,000,000
Daequan Cook: $3,090,942
Derek Fisher: $644,005
Gary Forbes: $1,500,000
Lazar Hayward: $1,174,080
Tyler Honeycutt: $809,875
JaJuan Johnson: $1,089,240
Shaun Livingston: $1,000,000
Scott Machado: $236,802
E'Twaun Moore: $381,098

Wall says he deserves a max contract. If Kemba starts talking nonsense like this next season, we need to move him and give the keys to Sessions.

Kemba has the worst winning percentage of any player of all time that has as many games played as he does. Highly doubt theres much ego left in the kid. Morr likely he ends up like jennings desperate to get outta this town like dj and rayray before him

I wish they would rename the Rookie Thread on the gen board the "Damian Lillard Fellatio Thread".

Say anything negative about Lillard or anything positive about another guy and it starts a 2 page argument on why Lillard is the Second Coming

Yep. Its twice as bad if you mention something negative about Drummond.

Yea its a tough call

On one hand getting portlands pick in this weaker draft might be disappointing

On the other hand a years worth of rookie threads would be readable without that Shem guy ruining all of them.

Drummond looks to be a true stud, but he's only 19 and has a stress fracture in his back in a game that is notoriously hard on big men's backs? I'd be really nervous about that if I were a DET fan.

good article by zach lowe on the utah jazz, al jefferson's bad defense, the team's bad defense. it all hits a little close to home, since he highlights a lot of what we also do wrong on defense.

^yeah, read that over at BCP. It summarizes nicely why I do NOT want Al Jeff in a Bobcats/Flight/Hornets/Dragons/Cougars uniform.

Agreed. I think we should throw 12 mil at Pekovic even if it ties money up and disallows us to offer Jeff or Milsap.
