Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
I would give up a lot to add Lamb to our core, but I would not trade any of Zeller, MKG, or Kemba to get him. Wouldn't trade Jefferson either. Our future picks are definitely in play and I would absolutely take back Perkins' contract to get him.

I would definitely trade Zeller for Lamb until Zeller can prove he can provide something McBob can't.

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
Zeller hasn't played a real game yet, what the hell is he supposed to have proven by now?

I dont get the hard on for Lamb. he hasnt shown me anything to give up significant value for him AND take back a horrible player on a worse contract.

Preach it.

That's like saying we wouldn't trade Ramon Sessions for Andrew Wiggins because Sessions has proven something in the league.
Before we drafted Zeller, I would've probably traded the #4 pick for Lamb. But now that we've seen what Zeller is capable of (yes, I know that was summer league, yadda yadda), I'm happy with Zellera and would not trade him for Lamb. However, I would give up significant value, as Lamb would've easily been a top 5 pick in the 2013 draft, based on his college career. He hasn't got an opportunity in the NBA yet because Scott Brooks has become a major idiot about not playing rookies even since OKC became good.

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
I just straight up don't like Zeller's game and think Lamb would be much more beneficial than Zeller's. We need shooting in the worst freaking way, not Christian Laettner 2.0.
It''s a moot point realistically because teams rarely trade high draft picks their rookie year (unless your T-Rob) plus the whole "never trade a big for a small" adage that most GMs live by.

WE know you don't like Zeller's game BD!
It's really, really obvious.
Zeller>Lamb
I wouldn't do that trade with 2 first rounders included with Lamb.
You can blame Brooks for Lamb not getting PT last season but I imagine it was because Lamb in way, shape or form is ready to contribute at the NBA level yet.

I know, just tell me to shut up. I's just trolling y'all softly 99% of the time anyway.
(still though, we need a freaking 2 guard that can get buckets)
(hoping we fill this gap in the draft with Wiggins/Exum/Selden or whatever so I'm not really adamant about trading for Lamb anyway)

I respect your opinion BD, even if I don't agree with it.
Just saying you don't have to point out that you're not a Zeller fan because we already no

Lol. I tend to ignore your ass on Zeller because you know more about basketball than just about anyone on this forum, and I knew as soon as the pick was announced you would despise the pick to hell.

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
To be clear, I'd wait until the draft to deal MKG for a young shooter and would want someone like Wiggins or Parker or Randle in place first. But the risk there is Lamb blossoms and MKG spins wheels. I wouldn't be opposed to a deadline deal because I think Jeff Taylor could fill in at SF just fine. But you'd be hard pressed to find a shooter of Lamb's caliber and youth right now in the NBA and same goes for the next draft. And the chemistry with Kemba is already there. I want Kemba to be a Hornet for life.
SF is a deep position in the next draft. There's quality there and depth.

Tudy Fruity Rudy Gay is the last player Charlotte needs, that would ruin MKG

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
What's up with everybody on this board and Lamb? Yes, I've also seen him play great basketball against his peers, I saw it in person matter of fact. But the dude hasn't proven anything in the pros. Granted, pre-season doesn't mean anything but it is a red flag when he's throwing up 2-12's in it or when OKC is so confused by his bad performances in practice they send him down to the D-League.
Trading Zeller or the 4th pick before the draft for him would be a brain-dead move. The Thunder would be happy to get a 10th-20th pick for him.

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
I think Jeremy Lamb's market value is beginning to diminish around the league & if he isn't able to produce for OKC this season then he will quickly become a afterthought that 'had' potential

Re: Trade Thread III - Post Fake Trades Here!
I like Lamb (I'm not one of the "Let's trade MKG for Lamb" guys, but I like him). I think a lot of the appeal is the idea of re-teaming him with Kemba. I haven't really watched him this preseason, so I don't know why or how much he's struggling, but I definitely think a player of his skill-set is a better fit for us than Hendo.
