I have friends who have successfully quite regular cigarettes for them, so I guess so. Hate smoking (never tried it, never will) so I can't speak first hand, but I'd much rather inhale steam or whatever comes out of a e-cig over that nasty smoke.

Im just a tad worried since the CDC hasn't really came out and said that they are better for you than regular cigarettes. Either way regular cigarettes are disgusting. Can't be any worse than that Im assuming.

My understanding that health wise it was pretty much the same as regular cigarettes.

A couple of my friends use them now. I definitely prefer them to cigs b/c they don't smell bad at all. The smoke/vapor does contain some carcinogens according to some studies so I wouldn't be surprised if e-cig smokers get pushed outside with the regular smokers eventually.

there is a new team in my local rec league called "Charlotte Bobcats"

its rare for a team to use an NBA name, let alone Bobcats.

Have to see if they wear Bobcat uni's

I don't understand what the hell is going on here:

Are they trying to say that it's a Gana Diop jersey worn by P Diddy ?

I would guess its a Diop worn singlet, but can't figure out why P Diddy is mentioned.

if it was Gana's wouldn't it be huge?

I know baggy clothes are trendy, but his shirt would probably look like a dress on me

how good of a basketball player would you be if:

1) you didnt have to work or go to school and had no other obligations
2) you had access to a nice gym 24/7, nobody else shooting (unless you wanted guys to practice against)
3) you had your own personal trainer, personal coach and personal nutrition that were available to you 24/7
4) you had free access to all equipment, gear and accessories
5) you were able to play in competitive games twice a week (matched your abilities and size so that you could get significant playing time)

I would be pretty good, especially shooting, i made 7-10 threes in a game i played today and i can only go to the gym and practice for about 30mins a day for 3-5 days a week

I'd be pretty good playing against other 5'6 to 5'8 people.
Rarely do I ever get a chance to play with people less than 3 inches taller than I am. If I'm matched up with a bigger and faster player, I'm Ben Gordon-esque on defense.

It's funny you bring this up because it's the first time in more than a month that I've even played, due to school/all the people at the gym with new years resolutions to fulfill.

I honestly think I could be a bench warmer for a very small college. (For example Mars Hill or Brevard College in my area). Definitely not Division 1, not even close, actually.

This is all assuming that I could backtrack 10 years to being 19 again. Id probably pass out and die if I played two 20 minute halves right now.

i am 41 now. i have been playing once a week for the last year with a group of guys similar in age and skill. but just playing once a week, really isnt enough to get in better shape or improve. i might get 15-20 shots up before we play, then during games another handful of shots and we are done. i am still mostly out of shape. my jumper is still inconsistent and my handles are still shaky.

so i was thinking, if i had all the benefits of being an NBA player (access to gyms, coaching, trainers, gear, and playing time) but without all the negatives of being an NBA player (travel, press, haters, people trying to get your money), how quickly could i improve and just how good could i become after say 3 months of training.

of course, age and physical limitations would still be there, but could i get to the point where i am a better player at 41 than i was when i was in college and playing 3-4 days a week.
