utah has zero interest in winning. they want to keep their pick next year. vets were sick of the bs tanking. utah tanked so bad they got fined. dump all the vets who arent part of core, free up pt for young guys. collier, george, clayton, cody, brice, springer and ace get all the minutes at 1 thru 3. guaranteed bottom 3 team again. stacked 2026 draft. all out tank.

Well, it seems Jeff Peterson isn’t in any hurry either, if his “double down” statements are to be believed. But trading for Sexton, while brilliant, will seem aimless if he just slides out of here after one year. Sexton has been a starter, and I’d think expects those minutes. I’d still love to get John Collins here in place of Miles.

i think there's a pretty big difference between utah's plan and hornets plan. utah is doing everything they can to be bad. hornets got destroyed by injuries, 3 years in a row. just because jeff isnt ready to go nuts trading future picks isnt a sign that hornets will try to be as bad as possible.

Jeff's end of the season quote was that the Hornets 2025-26 goal "was to win and compete for the playoff's" (caveat - without skipping steps).
So I don't think we are tanking like the last year(s). They may prefer to still be in the lottery though so I think we aren't going to give up the farm for a "star" yet. That's probably next summer.

Guess we will see who else they get at center......

Do you think they'd ever admit to tanking or "not attempting to win" if you prefer that euphemism?

They'll never publicly state anything other than a good company line regardless of their true intentions

Glad that Caitlin Clark is around. I truly look forward to Fever games lol. But I am moreso glad that she proves the point I have said for YEARS in that STATS don't always tell what's going on. I say that cause damn near every time you look in a box score she has sooooo many turnovers and her team wins or she is clearly the best player on the court even with near 10 turnovers at times. Also these past playoffs Cade Cunningham had a good amount in crutial games. Stats only tell a story AFTER you have seen a person play that particular season.

Dallas seems like the most likely option.

There was chatter a few years ago about LeBron teaming up with Kyrie/Luka in Dallas. Now they have both his buddies Kyrie/AD on the roster.

Either Dallas or Cleveland. Can't see LeBron accepting a trade anywhere else. Maybe Houston with KD in the mix.
