Mason was such a bad idea.

It's preseason, but we're all desperate for a winning team to cheer for, no matter how cynical they've made us. Maybe this is finally the year, crazier things have happened.

We been saying this for how long?

Melo's talent has never been the question. It's his ability to stay on the court. Because of that it's totally fair to question if he is indeed "the guy."

Don't count out vets who don't do well in preseason or the start of the regular season. They know it is a long season because they are vets.

Mason and Dimwiddie are the two most important players on this team outside of the core guys. I don't care how they do in the first two months of the regular season. They are going to shine when the time is right.

absolutely, he is still too loose with the ball at times, but no one else on this team has his talent.

Again nobody questions his talent.

It's always about health with LaMelo. I feel like I say this every season. He's the best player on the team his talent isn't to be questioned.

Couldn’t watch because stupid regional restrictions on league pass. Saw the box score and a few highlights played on YouTube. Wow!

Mason is not going to be much for us. I don’t care what anyone says. He’s old and he will not deliver. Encouraging to see Moose have a big game and Kalk played solid, anlbeit against bench competition. The showtime stuff is fun no doubt, but serious competition will require more. Still a shame that Melo gets no calls…saw where he was jacked with an elbow on a steal and nothing.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He's our best player. But to be the guy we need to be in the playoff picture.

Charlotte fans know we have one of the better players in the league. Outsiders view LaMelo as a unserious player with a streetball mentality.

Im all for LaMelo being the guy, but we also have to help him as a team get to that level.

I just back from Greensboro. They were fun to watch. Some good ball rotations. Camaraderie was noticeable. The nutmeg / ooop / slam was right in front of us as we were in that corner. Woo. Miller skyrocketed on that. He is definitely taller this year. Miles played hard and ran the floor well. Sexton has a nice half court game. Kon knows where to be on both ends. Kalk is ok, Diabate hustled. Melo got hot and then took over. Loved his lay up-fouled-floor dive flex play. We need that!

Seems like Mason is the 3rd center. Either Kalk or Diabate will start. Kalk is a better lob threat, Diabate is a better energy guy. Mason's passing isn't really all that needed on either the bench or starting lineup.

Another thing is Green isn't needed either. Don't see any compelling reason to play him over either Sexton or Kon. Probably not Mann either. Green is, at best, the bench SF. Pat is gone.

Melo - Mann - Spencer
Kon - Sexton
Miller - Green
Miles - Grant
Kalk - Diabate - Mason

Everyone else in Greensboro. Can we not send Sion and Liam down there on their contracts?

mason clearly 3rd string, so no worries. When Grant comes back he'll even be lower in the center rotation with Grant taking some small ball minutes.
kalk/moose Will get bulk of the minutes depending on matchups
Hornets centers tonight 25/24/2/2. Out rebounded the Grizzlies 53 to 33 as a team.

I definitely think that Green will be in the rotation once he comes back. Like you said probably as the bench wing ahead of Liam and sion.

It's gonna be interesting to see who starts and who gets the bulk of the minutes next to the Big Three. Both kon And Sexton bring something completely different to that lineup (and bench) that will be needed on different nights. kon adds That additional spacing and as you saw tonight someone who doesn't need the ball to make an impact if the other three are firing offensively. sexton Obviously gives you that additional ball handler when we need to get some rim pressure and to get melo off ball. Its nice to have options that complement the big three. kon's Role as a starter versus off the bench will be very different. If he's coming off the bench you can expect him to be a lot more involved in shot creation, hunting for some of that mid range game we saw against Dallas, more of A playmaker. With the starters he's that corner three threat and ball mover.

Read on Twitter

It's almost feels like an April Fool's joke. There's no way that Brandon Miller miles Bridges and lamelo are the same height. And there's no way that Miller is only 6 ft 6. And I don't believe that Mason is 6 ft 9. Peterson lost 3 in, Pat lost 2 in Liam lost 2 in. Wut??Wuthering??? Kon was literally just measured at 6-5 at the combine in bare feet. Silly

Looks like pretty much everyone got shorter. Did they just subtract shoes or something?

Miller is definitely at least 2 inches taller than Melo though. Kon and Melo look the same height to me.
