BigSlam wrote:I've seen some guys on other boards compare Kemba to Tony Parker of late - which I think is an interesting comparison (both speedy and able to get into the paint but with poor range on their J) but the guy I have been thinking he might compare to the most, in both a good and bad way, is Russell Westbrook.

Think about it.
- They are both athletic (although Russell slightly more)
- They both have good mid range J's
- They are both confident in their own abilities
- They both have leadership qualities
- They are both more combo's than they are pure points
- They both lack range on their J
- They can both get caught up getting their own rather than getting their team mates theirs

What do you think? Can you see it?

Kemba has better range than Parker I think. Russell is too big to be a good comparison in my opinion. Too strong. I hope he develops his point guard game like Russell has (well not the same game, just the same degree in improvement he's seen).

Kemba's recently introduced signature shoe, the Under Armour Micro G Juke. They'll first be seen at the Elite 24 game (the reason for these colorways), and will be priced at $100.

I'd like them more if they weren't so HIGH top. One comment says they look like boxing shoes.

It's very under armor. Close fitting, looks pretty streamlined and lightweight. I'd like them because high tops are good for my ankles. Just wish they said Kemba somewhere. With a name like Kemba or Jordan or KG, it wouldn't hurt to put it on in a stylized handwritten script, or big bold letters - KEMBA.

I prefer mid tops like the Hyperfuse and Foamposite, myself, but I can definitely see the market for high tops (especially on outdoor courts).

I also agree that his name should be scripted on the design somewhere. Maybe inside the UA logo somehow? And I think the logo itself should be on the heel of the shoe. Overall though, it's a very promising start.

I really want to get a pair of the UA charge rc's when they come out

Yeah especially outside. I like shoes that don't wear down quick, have good support, and look decent with more than one outfit.

Were Kemba's balling shoes in college also high-tops with a lot of ankle support?

I did a cursory Google search and saw a pair of Jordan XII's, a pair of black mid tops (no idea of brand), a pair of white mid tops (no idea of brand), a pair of mid top Nikes, cool grey mid top XI's, etc.

Seems like they just made a shoe and said hey, you're going to be the spokesman for this one. Maybe they had him help design it. Won't know until more info comes out. I'm sure they'll do an interview with him on them.

Well I wear different clothes when I play basketball. Yellow shoes don't look good if you're wearing colors that look dumb with it.

They will. It's yet to be introduced.

The colorways in the link above were made specifically for the Elite 24 game.

Those kicks are a good start for Kemba, I still wish he went with Brand Jordan though.

Did you guys see the wiretap?? I can't believe people are still asking Kemba if he can play the 1......Seriously?? What is wrong with them people.

It's what people want to hear Kemba talk about, I think.

4. Who has a brighter future: Brandon Knight or Kemba Walker?
Note: Knight and Walker finished in an exact tie.

Bret LaGree, Hoopinion: By virtue of being the more finished product, Kemba Walker, from a certain perspective, lacks the promise of the younger Brandon Knight. Walker is undoubtedly the better player right now, and Knight will have to fulfill much of his promise to catch up.

Rob Mahoney, The Two Man Game: Walker. Knight is a fairly interesting prospect, but he's neither a standout scorer nor a notable passer on the NBA level. Walker's NBA road won't be terribly smooth, either, but I trust his decision-making and instincts more than Knight's, not to mention his scoring ability.

Brian Robb, Celtics Hub: Walker. It may be a Northeast bias, but the undersized guard simply knows how to put himself in the right spots to score, an ability that should translate well into the NBA. This combined with his performances during "winning time" make me more of a believer in him at the next level over Knight and his questionable point guard instincts.

Jonathan Santiago, Cowbell Kingdom: Knight is younger, but he's perhaps just as poised and mature as Walker. Knight is blessed with better physical assets, too. Put them all together and I think the Pistons' point guard has more upside.

David Thorpe, ESPN.com: I think Knight is more likely to be a better player. Think of it like this: Had Knight stayed two more seasons at Kentucky, wouldn't he be better than Walker was this past season? His IQ and poise are a great combination for a young player who is already long on skill. His work ethic is legendary within the Florida prep scene

I said earlier that NY (Rucker) has no chance in this game. I forgot about how Kemba Walker just refuses to lose.

TheHoopsReport Ryan Feldman
All the players are smiling and having fun in this game, but the only player you can tell really wants to win this game is Kemba Walker.

TheHoopsReport Ryan Feldman
Tie game! Kemba drains a deep 3-pointer. Tied at 89. Kemba taking over. He has 27.

Even though neither has ever played an nba game yet I am constantly gaining more and more faith that Kemba and Bismack are going to be an elite duo one day. If we could find away to lure Dwight and an elite three point marksman at the two or three this team would contend for the next ten years.

^^^^^

No way Dwight will come here Quick..We've got more of a chance at Drummond.

Agreed that a marksman is needed but I think Bitchsmack can handle the post with Kwame for a season or two.
