But you won't find anybody who says Mikan and Cousy are athletically comparable to anybody on stun's team so far. I'm not going to go back and forth about it.

I don't even know who he has aside from Worthy.

Willis Reed

• 2-time NBA Champion
• 2-time Finals MVP
• 1-time MVP (1970)
• 7-time All-Star
• Rookie of the Year (1965)
• one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history
• best years: 1966-71 (averaged 21 points and 14 rebounds)

I love the Willis Read, Moses Malone pairing. That's an aggressive, physical front court.

damn stun, KJ was one of the few guys on my short list for PG. I gambled on Ewing hoping KJ would be there this round but you stole him, and I knew you'd be my main competition for his services.......... right after Ian took DJ!

I've got a steal of a pick... The Answer for single digits. (Allen Iverson, and yeah he'll never play in the NBA again).

iverson isnt retired or else he would have been picked 3 rounds ago. he played last season overseas and made recent comments about wanting to play again in the nba. very different situation than shaq who publicly announced his retirement.

new pick

http://newsone.com/entertainment/sports ... ba-turkey/ this article is from June 2011. doesnt sound like a retired player to me

“Just give me a training camp,” he said. “Maybe I’ve rubbed people the wrong way as far as saying the things I’ve said in my life and in my career. But if any team needs me to help try and win a championship in any capacity, I’m waiting.”

He might have a long wait. Throw in a possible work stoppage with NBA owners and players far apart on a new labor deal, and Iverson might again be forced to look outside the NBA for a team. He signed a $4 million, two-year contract with Besiktas. But Iverson made it clear in a phone interview late Wednesday night, his first priority is the NBA.

“If that doesn’t happen, I just want to play basketball, so I’ve got to weigh my options and do what’s best for me and my career,” he said. “If that doesn’t happen, I don’t want to not play basketball. I don’t have any more years to be wasting.”

Iverson insisted he enjoyed his stay in Turkey.

yeah, it was a tad early for mourning, but he was exactly what i needed, a shot blocking center to pair with barkley and cowens.

Yeah but he just had calf surgery, no one wanted him before, I don't think he'll play in the NBA again.

http://www.nowpublic.com/sports/allen-i ... r-his-fans

He's retired before. I feel like he could have been picked after that letter. Cuttino Mobley has also mentioned desires to play in the NBA again but he's still just a former NBA player.

I thought no one picked AI because they were afraid of robots.

If I can't have him, I'll take... Hmm I need a think.

He's so underrated it's not fair. Probably my third favorite PG after somebody who hasn't been picked yet and Deron.

As for AI, I never picked him because I don't think he fits any championship team. I don't have any problem with him being picked. I don't think he'll return to the NBA imo.

My plan was to use him off the bench for 30 MPG backing up Cousy and SG spot... Sad days haha. Still thinking.

you guys know i'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but iverson is clearly against the rules as they are stated pre-game. it wouldnt be fair to others that may have considered iverson earlier but didnt due to the rules.

- Player selected must be retired, either didn't play in 2010-11 in NBA or any other league or officially announced retirement ala Shaq.

as for mobley, he is eligible - he didnt play in any pro league in 2010-2011 and he has previously announced his retirement from basketball and not resumed. i know you arent serious about mobley and were just using him as an example, but the example doesnt fit.

Retirement

On December 10, 2008, Mobley announced his retirement due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy that was disclosed in a physical exam.[8] This is the same heart illness suffered by Reggie Lewis, who died in 1993, and Hank Gathers, who died in 1990. Although he retired as a Knick, Mobley did not play a game for the team before retiring.[9][10]

rules are rules. sorry. :(

there are 100s of other great players out there so....
