thanks x-

starting to get a little excited about Taylor.

At the very least, looks like he could be a solid back up at the 2/3.

Ed Isaacson ‏@nbadraftblog 4m

Checking in on Sweden-Greece, Jeff Taylor seems to be the only guy who understands how defense works on either team

Glad he was reported to have been the best defender on the floor and got 16 shots up on decent efficiency, 75 percent from 3 is excellent but no rebounds or assists worries me.

In regards to the free throws fats, I have no idea but he looks like a guy who learnt to shoot really well whilst not having a natural knack for it, it speaks volumes of his work ethic though probably not so much for his natural talent level.

19/6/2 on 7/21 shooting, 4/8 for treys though; took almost third (21 of 64) sjhots of his team. i wonder how his two-point attwmpts looks like since he shoots them in lower percentages and don't draw many fouls. Does he get hacked a lot in traffic, different officiating from what he is used in NBA? Does anybody know?

from what i saw in the 1st half yesterday, the rest of that sweden team is god awful. it should be a miracle when he gets an assist. as for the two pointers, not sure doc, the refs seemed to be calling every bit of contact in the half i watched.

no surprises here, even with Jerebko Sweden would have been the worst team there. There's not much JT can do to bring them over the edge.

Is there anyone who's been watching the tournament for other reasons besides Taylor? Vesely is averaging 20/10 for doc.end's Czech Republic team, while Turkey with Ilyasova, Semih Erdin, Asik and Turkoglu are 0-2 after losses to Finland and Italy.

My Latvian team has a group of great guys by not including veteran distractions on the team. Biedrins had the chance to prove that he's worth a damn yet he pussied out again and isn't playing. We're 2-1 in the group of death (Serbia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Macedonia).

I kinda watching, better description is having TV switched on (our public tv sport channel, horrible announcer though). Veselý's dunks are fun, he still looks like the same player but battled Gortat well. Still airballs jumpers.

Latvia is doing pretty good considering their opponents; I still think McCalleb playing for Macedonia spoils the fun. At least Ibaka is not playing for Spain.

Didn't we have Slovenian here on this board as well (going by Bizz I think)?

He drives a lot and he doesn't get calls. Sometimes he is blocked legally and other times he is nudged and receives a no call. He has to improve his finishing in traffic but the rest of his team is way worse at finishing around the rim than him.

I am not a Bobcats or a Sweden fan but Taylor has impressed me. He is playing like a star for Sweden and it's obvious that he is trying a lot. Jerebko is really, really mediocre. Taylor is showing that he belongs in the NBA.

We already went through two American point guards, basically two McCalleb's, in a row when playing Bosnia and Montenegro. It does spoil the fun. I understand that the Swedes have some guys who at least grew up there, but more and more teams having an American playing for them really bothers me. Especially when the guy has no attachment to the country at all and plays only for one tournament so he could enjoy the benifits of being a citizen of that country later on. At least this is already McCalleb's third tournament.
