there's no clear #1 in this draft this year anyways. no singular guy that its all or nothing for so there's no real reason to worry about exactly how much we'll suck.

we're bad, but we're not delusional about how good we could be with a few shortcuts here and there.

Agreed. We are a young, competitive fun team that is devoid of superstars, all-stars or any talented players in their prime. We are all upside right now, with a ton of potential to compete very, very soon. A Wiseman or Edwards added to this roster this draft + an additional player added with a Devonte Graham type would be huge.

IMO, the worst days are behind us.

BTW the Knicks and Wolves won tonight, so now we're sitting on the 4th-best lottery odds.

Top 4 would almost certainly get us Wiseman right?

So I’ve lived right beside Penn State’s campus all year and have regularly attended PSU games. I really this Lamar Stevens kid. He’s built like a linebacker and just super strong. Routinely takes the toughest defensive assignment. Tough to back down. Mid range game, playing in transition some of his offensive strengths. Really needs to add the three point shot to his arsenal. I’d love him as a second round pick up, especially if we could land him somewhere in the 42-50 range. Just someone to keep an eye as the season progresses.

Wiseman and Edwards will be going top 2 I think.

Best case scenario, we get one of the top 2 picks. If not that, hopefully Okongwu will be in our range. Edwards, Wiseman, and Okongwu all seem to have pretty decent upside. Don't feel great about other guys projected in the top ~7 and their fit on the team.

In that case, Lamelo Ball could be a solid pickup as well. He'd at least be entertaining and put some fans in seats.

I'm not so sure about the Deni Avdija guy. From the tape I've seen, he looks like a role player.

Ball is so overrated, it's beyond ridiculous. And i pass on the drama for the franchise who will draft him and his whole family.

Hopefully the Cav's will go "Bennett" again and draft him, so the Hornets can get either Wiseman or Edwards. The good thing that if Cleveland draft Wiseman, i dont see why gsw would draft Edwards (they might bite on Toppin instead).

I have warmed up more to Okongwu after watching some fun highlights of him. Looks like a less tall, but more polished version of Wiseman. I think Okongu's length and vertical allow him to play above his 6'9" height. I saw an interview with him where he said his height was closer to 6'10". Plus, at 19, he could technically still add an inch or two maybe....idk. I'd still take him at 6'9" if Wiseman/Edwards are gone.

I think Killian Hayes belongs in top 4 discussion.

It's pretty peak Charlotte to be looking at top 4 pick in a Draft that's considered the worst since the last year we tanked. (2012/2013, Zeller.)

Does LaMelo have the same issues with a busted shooting form / only being able to shoot going left as Lonzo?

Seconded... There is really nobody to be excited about. Edwards would be a 6 to 10 pick most years. Wiseman is the real prize but he's hardly a proven commodity with his small sample size of games before he was suspended. Ball and Hampton's efficiency in Australia has been poor...unless we have a shot at Wiseman in the top 3, if be content trading down for another lotto pick next year and taking for another season.

Thanks for the UPDATE. Because of you I am also a fan of his. I will add him in my next chart. He has ability to be a good player. He has everything I like in a player but with edge.

@UNCNYC what about Vernon Carey Jr? appears to be great combination of size mobility and explosiveness

Any reason Wiseman and Carey are omitted from center rankings?

The reason why no rankings of any dook players is because of out of superstition I have not watched any of their games this
season.

The reason why is because when UNC plays dook my nerves are always at an all time high and I am trying to see if I can know
as little about them as possible if that will help calm them a bit.

It has worked a tad bit but not that much haha.

I know about their whole roster (including the goldwires) but I do not want to over study them (as I have in the past) for
this bizarre reason.

As for Wiseman. I think he's solid but I left him out because I did not want him for our number 1 because most overhyped
CENTERS have become just that lately. He seems to fit the bill.

I think guys like Daniel Oturu, Obiagu and although undersized a bit for center Okongwu could be just as good as an option later.
Or even jericho sims (who I thought I added but didn't but will again).
