Re: 2021 Free Agency
Between SAS and NYK spending all / a bunch of their cap space, makes me a lot less nervous about Graham getting a huge payday. OKC looms large though.
Where's Monk gonna go?

I mean those are pretty horrible deals so I don't think we should justify the contracts in a positive light. There is no universe where Duncan Robinson deserves $18mil per year.
-Lonzo at $21mil/year
-Jarrett Allen got $20mil/year
-Tim Hardaway Jr got $18mil/year
-Will Barton $16mil/year
-Nerlens Noel $11mil/year
-Kyle Lowry is going to be making over $30mil at age 37
-Chris Paul over $40mil at age 40
If anything, it shows how much FOs are willing to overpay for guys, especially when they're chasing deep playoff runs.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
If Cody doesn't get any serious offers, I'd try to resign him on a 2yr 12m contract. We could still use another center, despite trading for Plumlee.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
to be fair, CP3's deal is only fully guaranteed for 2 years. Third year is a partial, fourth year (when he turns 40) is unguaranteed

Re: 2021 Free Agency
that is true, but its still a staggering contract to look at considering folks were talking about him being on his way out of the league after leaving the Clips
EDIT: Just checked his bbref page. My goodness he's had an illustrious career. #2 PG All-Time?

Re: 2021 Free Agency
There are a lot of bad deals being handed out today. Hayward doesn't look so bad at all.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
Goodbye Cody. If you didn't break your face so much, we could have had a better run.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
Cody signed with Portland for a year
Theis got 9 million per year for 4 years!

Re: 2021 Free Agency
Really not sure why Rockets need Theis to go with Wood, Sengun, and Garuba but okay
Maybe they view Sengun as a PF

Re: 2021 Free Agency
Cody is a good fit in Portland. Lillard is like a super-charged Kemba.
