yeah the entire team is totally messed up

Miller at 6'6, Josh Green who has played a lot of his career at SF is 6'3? Half the team is listed 1-2 inches below what they measured barefoot at their draft combines lol

we have a france sized hole add backup power forward.
Miles might have to play 48 minutes a game until Grant gets healthy
I'd even roll with the clogged toilet spacing of moose at pf if that didn't mean that Mason was in the rotation.

Those heights are way off. Miller was guarding 7'0" Santi Aldama several times last night and they looked like they were about the same size

I've been more intrigued about micro ball lineups with Miller playing PF or even C for short stretches. If you're going to play completely pointless players like Salaun and Plumlee that don't even utilize their size, might as well sub them out for a talented guard or wing. You'll have zero interior presence either way, might as well just play the better player.

You can definitely space some teams out playing Melo, Sexton, Kon, Miller, and Bridges at the same time.

Would've been nice to have PJ Washington on this team to mitigate a little bit of the interior struggles you'd have with a lineup like that but whatever.

Did they announce the starting lineup for the season opener yet?

Hopefully they go with Kon.

Grant does just fine in that regard, just got hurt on a flukey injury.

Yeah, Tiddy looked bad preseason, and gives us nearly the same struggling player as last year. Still a bit too early, but was there a worse lottery pick by any team in 2024? A worse overall pick given it was #6?

We really should have selected a PF with the pick we used on Sion.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Buzelis is playing well in preseason...He's already way, way better than Tidjane and they play the same position

Lots of pictures coming out this morning from the unveiling of the Arena renovation. Anyone here planning to go to the season opener?

Where does Salaun go in a redraft? 2nd round? Undrafted?

A redraft would put him late 1st or possibly second round. This regime fell in love with him….too focused on his hustle and desire (and being a culture changer). They panicked on trading back for him…feared the Spurs would take him before they could draft at ninth (rumored trade with Memphis). I call total BS on that fear. The PROBLEM was locking in on a highly speculative, raw prospect while dismissing other stronger prospects like Matas, Ware, Dillingham, etc. A weak draft, and a 6th pick, is NOT the time to swing for a 1 in 50 shot at a surprise player.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I only thought of this because I had this exact same issue with AI few months ago. Was watching the old Baywatch movie from like 2017. Had never seen it. Side note, was actually funnier than I anticipated. Anyway afterwards I was just curious of everyone's height in the movie. So I just randomly asked Chatgpt for the heights of everyone listed in the Baywatch movie, Just for **** and giggles and just two test out the prompt. And it gave me some numbers that were half correct but half that were clearly wrong. So then I asked Gemini and I got a different set of half correct half incorrect answers. So then I asked Claude same thing. Three different AIs three different set of answers all three had half the heights correct and the other half incorrect. So I can just imagine some intern trying to be clever and save some time creates an agent to update the website with heights and AI hallucinates half the roster. lol.

Anyway, it's clearly a data management error That should have been caught. There's no way these are accurate and there's no way that the Hornets would have just randomly downsized the entire roster. Imagine Colin Sexton and his agent heading into free agency and now their height is listed at 6 foot instead of 6 foot three. No team is going to devalue their players like that.

I'm thinking probably somewhere in the 15 to 25 range (Which is where he always should have been drafted). I think his age, height, motor, coachability, the semblance of a three point shot and someone who at least can be a passable defender would probably intrigue enough teams to pull the trigger in that range. No world where he is a lottery pick though.
It's frustrating seeing so many of these second year players clearly starting to take that leap heading into their second season. And meanwhile tiddy Looks like the exact same player we saw at the end of the season and in Summer League. Slightly better awareness on offense, Slightly less hot potato and deer in headlights moments when the ball hits his hands, But nowhere near the level of someone you can trust to play 15 to 20 minutes a night on a functional basketball team.

Clearly we need to put this technology in charge of everything.

I don't see an Eric Collins statue in any of those stadium pics. This issue needs to be fixed asap.
