No way Dwight will come here Quick..We've got more of a chance at Drummond.

Agreed that a marksman is needed but I think Bitchsmack can handle the post with Kwame for a season or two.

Or with Tyrus since bismack likes to get deep post position.

They will make a good pair up front but they may foul out in 3 minutes.

Tyrus/Kwame
Biyombo/Kwame
Tyrus/Biyombo

Not a bad 3 man front court rotation, what will we do with DJ White??

*Am not trying to derail the Kemba thread.

I doubt they both start. It'll be one or the other with Kwame at the start. Then you sub out Kwame for the other unless there is foul trouble.

DJ White is just the other one, he can play both positions too. Especially if Biyombo is with him.

One rotation I DON'T want to see is DJ White and Kwame both in. No need for that.

I keep hearing that. But two years ago I was hearing that Lebron would never leave Cleveland. The fact is we are building a nice young team with huge cap flexibility. Orlando is going nowhere, and Dwight knows it.

I honestly feel our chances of landing either one are equally low.

Hopefully, but how can we have thirty million in capspace the year of Dwight's freeagency, and not make a run. Common sense, and arithmatic fellas.

We might make a run but if dwight is going it will be to Brooklyn or the Celts, Both teams will more than likely contend before us.

I honestly think the only way we get a superstar is through the draft.

Celtics will probably be clinically dead by the time Dwight looks to leave Orlando, they are pretty old now.

You would have to think that Brooklyn will try its best to match Dwight with Deron. We know money isn't an issue there.

I still think Bitchsmack will have to deal with a fair bit of foul trouble at first which will limit his playing time.

I'm sure we will see a lot of Diaw as well. Firstly because he is a savvy veteran who won't make as many mistakes, Coaches always want to win as rebuilding or not, they generally face the axe when their team loses.

Secondly and more importantly if we want to trade him at the deadline we have to show Diaw's value to a team to try and gain an asset. either a pick or young player.

Clinically dead. lol

Yes I expect the Nets will make a run at Dwight. I just believe that we will be farther along and more attractive in our rebuild since New Jersey gave away all of those picks to get Deron.

He may be limited by foul trouble, but Bismack is 6'9 245 with a 7' plus wing span. He will not be limited to playing behind Diaw. I honestly expect him to get most of his minutes at the 5.

I do agree he will have plenty of opportunity during the year.

Heck we currently only have Diop signed at centre!!

God I wish there was somehow we could make Diop look like a serviceable defensive centre so someone would take us off our hands.

They managed it at Dallas, surely he could play the Joel Anthony role somewhere.

I wonder if San Antonio would like him to help Duncan out with the big bodies. Something around McDyess's expiring?

Starting to go off topic, sorry

^^^^^^

All good, I'd damn near trade Diop for Travis Outlaw's horrible horrible contract...

At least he would produce something....

The problem with Diop is that he IS a serviceable defensive big. Whenever he got minutes, he always played pretty good D. He just either never got minutes or was hurt.

I really, really can't wait to see the kid play. Watching that Jimmer All Star game got me even more juiced about Kemba.

I fully expect him to have a 30+ point game in his rookie season by scoring in a variety of ways.

Jackson holds the title of "best guy at creating his own shot" in Bobcats history, but Kemba is about to blow the doors off and own that title in no time.

Can't wait to see Kemba smoking fools with that dribble hesitation to step back J in the big show.

I think you're right, he'll be better offensively than Jackson. But mostly because instead of size advantages, he'll have quickness ones. And Jackson concentrated more on his defensive game, so given equal talent Kemba would turn out a stronger offensive player.

Do you think you might be underrating him a bit Slam?? He's as NBA ready as any player in the draft & that was a knock on him as people believe his ceiling is lower than Irving & Knight.

Sure I am ever the optimist but I can see him having a crazy rookie season & I don't think it will take him long to wrestle the starting job from DJ.

We lack scoring & he may be the best scorer on our team as a rook with apologies to Maggette.

If DJ stays and starts the entire year, then Kemba won't have a big season. Something like 10/3/1.5

If DJ plays poorly and Kemba gets the green light, he can be a 16/6/3 player as a starter

Is that P/R/A or P/A/R? I don't think Kemba will get the green light to start unless he can get 5 assists in 30 minutes. Our lineup can't score on its own very well. Diaw is a good distributor but he's no point guard. I think DJs assists will be more valuable to the team simply because only DJ, Kemba, and Diaw can really make any plays. On the bench Kemba would have a green light to score as many points as possible since no one else is even worth having the ball in their hands!

I'm hoping that starting would accelerate Kemba's PG skills.

Also people forget that Kemba has played PG his whole life, he was forced into a scoring role this year through lack of support though he has always been a score first point but he can create when he has to.

People make him out to be a 6'1 SG.
